Tyler again....!

I know, the majority of the posts we have are of Tyler. I just can't resist. He's just so dang cute. I thought everyone would enjoy this cute picture of him. He just loves his swing and now that he's getting pretty coordinated he can grab the little fish on the sides and make the music start all on his own. This afternoon he even had a hold on them so tight that the swing itself wasn't even moving. I love the swing too because he'll sit in it contently while I fix dinner or do the dishes. It really is a necessity and like I said earlier, Tyler loves it.

Tyler in his new outfit

What a cute little grin!

Just being mellow.

Getting distracted by the TV something more interesting than the camera.

The other day I was looking for something cute that Tyler could wear because he is growing out of all of his clothes. He's pretty much out of his size 3-6 mo and everything that we have that is 6-9 mo is spring and summery and it's a bit too cold for those yet. So I took this outfit out and tried it on him. And, lo and behold, it fits wonderfully. The tag says it's 12 months, but I think the size is off. Doesn't he look so handsome?? I did try on another 12 mo. outfit that was wintery but it was too big. Tyler is just a funny size. I just love this shirt on him. What a cutie!?

Truffles!

Chocolate ready to get melted.

The double boiler is working wonderfully.

My precious...chocolate. (Or, me being a dork!)

Cory and Ty hanging out while I make Valentines Day truffles.

This is what they look like after they have formed...pretty ugly huh!

Melting milk chocolate for the coating...the chocolate melter also works magnificently.

Yummy truffles covered in coconut, peanuts, and a mixture of cocoa and powdered sugar.

The other day we were watching Alton Brown on the Food Network and he made truffles. We thought they looked really good and easy. Boy, were we wrong. They took us like 3 days to make. They do taste good though. We first made the ganache. Then we let it sit overnight. The next day we took a melon baller and used it to cut circular balls out of the ganche. And then tonight we finally coated and finished the dang things. We're going to take them to S.L.C. this weeked to share with our family at our nieces baby blessing. Cory's sister asked us to bring dessert...(I think we're going to have the best dessert out of everyone.) They are pretty tasty. I recommend that you try this once, just for the experience, but again, it was very time consuming and messy. Don't they look so good though!!!?

I like rice cereal now!!

Well everyone, Tyler loves his rice cereal now. It took a few weeks for him to really like it. Now he can't get enough of it and I don't give it to him fast enough. But, everytime I give it to him it makes a huge mess because Tyler likes to grab the spoon and he tries to feed himself with it. Then in between spoonfuls he tries to suck on his hand so the rice ends up getting everywhere. I'm just glad he'll take it now though.
