It's here!!

My free IPOD NANO is here everybody. I'm very excited. I got it last week and I love it. It's so tiny and cute. It was free because there was a promotian going on at Key Bank that if you opened a checking account you would get a free NANO. So, Cory and I both did it. Cory is selling his though and using that moola to buy a Creative Zen mp3 player. Its fun.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

We bought this winter coat for Tyler last year and didn't know if it would fit or not and guess what, it FITS!! Yeah. When it snowed here for the first time last week, Cory and I dressed Tyler up in his winter ensamble and took him out for a car ride. He reminds me of the boy on "A Christmas Story" in this outfit. It's so big and poofy that Tyler rolled onto the floor and just layed there because he didn't know which way to turn or how to bend or get up. It was pretty funny.

It has finally snowed in Idaho. I just love the first day it snows. I don't really know what it is. I just love the first day of snow. I opened up all the blinds in the house, cranked up the heat and just stared out the window at the beautiful white snowflakes that were blowing outside. Tyler kept looking out the window too, then he would look at me with eyes of wonder. I can't wait to take him outside to play in the snow and to teach him how to make snow angels and snowmen. Winter is my favorite season and time of year. And that, everybody, is one of the reasons why I love living in Idaho.

Cute pie Tyler

Well, it's been awhile since we've given an update on Tyler. He's growing up so fast. I can't believe he is over a year old already. He's such a big boy. Tyler's favorite thing to do is to get into anything and everything that he's not supposed to get into. Such as anything that is plugged into an outlet, or the cupboards. Our bathroom cupboards aren't baby proofed yet and Tyler knows it. So he'll crawl up the stairs and go straight into the bathroom and pull everything out of the drawers in a matter of minutes. He also likes to play with these little cups that fit inside each other. Those are his favorite things ever. A few weeks ago he discovered how to go down the stairs on his own. It's kind of scary for me sometimes because he can slide down them pretty fast. And some big news, Tyler finally took a few steps. We're working on teaching him to walk everyday. He's really getting pretty good at his baby steps. We are very proud of him and love being Tyler's parents. He is such a blessing to have in our lives.

Ticket to Ride

So all you game lovers out there, we've discovered a new game. It's called Ticket to Ride. I love this game. It's so much fun. Our friends told us about it so we decided to give it a try. We really like it because it's 2-5 players so Cory and I can just play it. It's a totally different game every time we have played it. It took me about 5 games before I finally won though. Yeah. I do like it. And, I invite anyone who wants to play to come to Pocatello for a game night at the Miles residence. We have the Germany map/board, which we heard was a different game than the United States or even Europe map. We really had a hard time deciding whether to get Germany or Europe. I'm glad we got Germany though. Again, I recommend this game to everyone. It's pretty fun and easy to learn too.

Game description brought to you by Amazon. com:

Product Description

Ticket to Ride - Märklin Edition is the third installment in Days of Wonder's best-selling boardgame series that has won 14 international game awards, including the prestigious Spiel des Jahres. The boardmap for the Märklin Edition is based on a map of Germany and introduces a new gameplay element where players can use passengers to pick up merchandise worth different numbers of points along the routes that they claim. However, the game will remain as simple to learn and teach as the previous versions. Those of you who know the train hobby are likely to be familiar with the Märklin name. This German company has been around for over 140 years and is the world's leader in the miniature train hobby. The Märklin Edition of Ticket to Ride marries the best of the model train and board gaming worlds. Each train card in this edition will feature a different image (118 in all) of a Märklin model train car or locomotive. The first two editions of the game - Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe have sold nearly 500,000 copies worldwide. We expect the Ticket to Ride - Märklin Edition to add to that success. Players: 2-5 Ages: 8 and up Playing Time: 30-60 minutes

Tyler's birthday!!

I don't know about this stuff.

Hey, I can lift the whole thing up.

This is good. I can't believe my mom and dad are letting me eat this whole thing.

I want my cousin to have some too.

I love paper. It really tastes good too.

Who are all these presents for?

Wow! A train toy box. Thank you auntie Lissa.

Yummy paper. This tastes better than the cake.

I know, I know, this post is a month late. But, I just wanted to show every body Tyler's birthday party. He had so much fun. Before the party Cory and I took him out to eat at Wendy's and got him a kids meal. This was his first kids meal ever. He really didn't know what to do. That day he also got a Coldstone Creamery coupon sent to him via email for a free Coldstone since he is a member of their birthday club (if you're not a member yet, go to their website and join, it's free and you get a huge free ice cream on your birthday. It's not just for kids, but adults too. It's cool.) Then, we had a huge birthday bash with some family. Both sets of grandparents came and so did a few aunts and uncles. He had so much fun. He really enjoyed his mini chocolate cake and ripping the wrapping paper and trying to eat it. There was this one toy, a green noise maker that he really liked. He still grins whenever I let him play with that toy. Thank you everybody for joining us to celebrate Tyler's first birthday. It was so much fun.

Cutie Pie!!

Here are just a few pictures of Tyler being himself. When he's eating, he really likes to share his food. He'll hold out a piece of food and when you try to grab it, he'll pull it away and stick it in his own mouth. It's pretty darn cute.

What a mess!?

I was trying to get myself ready one morning and Tyler decided he wanted to come join me. Unfortunatley, Cory hasn't locked these cupboards up yet, so Tyler pulled everything out of every single drawer. He had a blast doing it, but it made a huge mess. He's always trying to get into things that he shouldn't get into. He's a very curious little monkey, oh, I mean boy. He's always keeping us on our toes.
