Christmas is on its way!!!
I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. Really, once Halloween came, it has seem liked time has really flown. We had Thanksgiving and Grandma Hobbs house in Idaho Falls. It was delicious. Cory and Dad did most of the cooking. We forgot our camera and Dad has already posted the few pictures he took. The day after Thanksgiving Mom and I stood in line at JoAnns for a good 1/2 hour and I was so impressed with our method this year. We were in and out in one hour. That's a record for us. I got enough fabric for a few baby blankets and Christmas pajamas. I just have to start making them now.

Well, this has been quite an eventful week for us here at the Miles household. First, Thanksgiving break ended and Cory was back to his usual, but rigorous school schedule. That Nursing program is one hard program. Then, we set up our Christmas tree (pictures will soon be posted). Our tree has beautiful white lights and all the ornaments are at the top 1/3 of the tree. Little Tyler thought that the ornaments were toys and would take them off the tree pretty much as fast as I put them on. Today Tyler and I went to Amy's studio so that Tyler could get his Christmas pictures taken and then, he looked so cute I thought it would be a good idea to go to see Santa. He didn't like it very well as you can see. But, it was fun. Our Santa was so nice, he let me take so many pictures with our camera phone. I love Santa.

New church calling.

So, I have some news everyone. Last week I received a new calling...yes everyone, I am now the newest assistant cub scout leader and I have know idea what that involves. I do know that the pine wood derby is coming up and we get to race little wooden cars. That's all I know. I guess we'll find out next week what's going to happen. Hopefully, I don't have to wear that ugly yellow shirt. I will refuse.
More shelf playing!!!
Not the pantry this time.
So, I was cleaning up the living room, vacuuming and doing the usual stuff. Tyler didn't want to help clean and I thought he was just playing, well, when I was done in the living room, I had to clean up the pantry as well. At least Tyler was kind enough to empty the shelves so that I could straighten and organize the shelves over again. I do have to say, Tyler was pretty cute climbing up into the shelf. All you need is a few cans, a shelf, and then Tyler is one happy boy.

Just a fun day at the park....!!

Although Tyler is big for his age, he's kind of a wimp. He was scared to walk down this bridge and instead he crawled down it.

Nice and steady.......Yeah, he did it.

It was starting to get cold here in Idaho and so we decided to take one last afternoon trip to the park. It was pretty chilly out so we didn't last very long. Tyler had a blast running around and playing for a few minutes. I guess since it's cold outside now we just need to go to the mall park from now on.
More Halloween pictures.
So, I know it's a little late to be posting these, but they were on my phone and I just couldn't resist. The ghostie pictures are from trick or treating down-town and the donuts are what me made at Cory's aunt and uncle's house. They were very very tasty. We had leftovers for a few days. I thought the best ones were the chocolate covered ones and Cory and Tyler pretty much liked all of them.

1st Ultrasound
Somehow, it's just more real for the guy once he gets to hear/see/feel the baby. Yesterday we got to hear the baby's heartbeat and then we went in for an ultrasound to verify how far the baby is: 13 weeks, which puts the due date at June 3rd. Angie insists that the baby will come earlier, though.

Tyler being bored
Yesterday, I was in the shower and heard Tyler getting into things, so I hurried up and finished up. Then, I peeked around the corner and this is what I saw. Tyler had emptied all the blankets in the hall closet and was jumping on them in the hallway, then, he decided to try to climb on the second shelf. After a few tries, he finally did it. He was so proud of himself. I thought it was cute, so I had to take pictures.
HALLOWEEN 2007
Our cute little ghostie!!!
Tyler can't wait to get out trick-or-treating!!
Showing Grandma and Grandpa all his goodies.
For Halloween this year, we dressed Tyler up as the famous ghostie that, thanks to Melanie's idea, was a great hit and very cheap. Tyler and I and a few friends headed downtown for trick-or-treating at all the shops. I can't believe how crowded that was. It was fun though. Tyler's friend Kayden fell right asleep in his stroller, but Tyler was too excited to even think about falling asleep. We ended up getting a full bucket full of candy just from downtown. After that, Cory and I headed to all the relatives houses so that they could see Tyler all dressed up. It was fun. He really liked Mom and Dad's house. He kept emptying his bucket and then refilling it. It was cute. Tyler's favorite candy, suckers and smarties.

GOOD NEWS FOR US
Tyler, just a few hours after he was born.
I can't believe that it's already been two short years since Tyler was born. It's been a wonderful blessing to have such a wonderful little boy in our family. He brings Cory and I such joy and happiness. Our good news is that we will once again be having a little baby in our home. Yeah. Cory and I just found out we are pregnant with our 2nd baby. Sorry for announcing it on the blog world, but it's the only way we really knew everyone would find out. We're not due until May and we're hoping for another boy. I wouldn't mind one bit if it were a girl though. And, so far, the pregnancy is going good. I haven't been sick at all, just tired.

Tylers 2nd Birthday Party
For Tylers 2nd birthday, we had a puppy party for him. I made him a puppy cake, made puppy invitations, and we even had dog bone favors. We fed everyone hot dogs...ha ha..for lunch and had brats for the adults. Very cute indeed. Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs and Miles came, Tylers aunt Amy was there. His great-Grandma Garbett was there, so was his aunt Kathy and cousin David, and his aunt Melissa, and cousins Makayla and Allie. He loved having so much attention. He also loved all the puppy stuffed animals he got. He sleeps with them every night.
Yes, we gave our son a kitchen set for his birthday. He loves kitchen sets. This one just happened to be free too. I think it looks great. It will do for now. He really likes it.
His favorite thing about the kitchen set is pulling everything out of the compartments. It makes a huge mess, but Tyler thinks its great.
This toy is such a huge hit. TYler loves it. It's a car from Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs. A dog is driving it and you shake it and put it on the ground, it starts barking wildly and then races off, on its own. Pretty cool. Tyler loves it.
Tyler also loves these books from Grandma and Grandpa Miles. They are the kind with the noisy buttons on the side. He loves pressing all the buttons.
These animals are another hit. They have buttons on the bottom of them that make the animal noise. He loves them and takes them everywhere.
Here is my first attempt at decorating a cake. I think I did alright for never having done it before. At least it looks like a dog right. I worked hard on that cake. Too bad Michaels closed, or I would be taking cake decorating classes from them.
Here is Tyler sneaking grandpa a kiss. He had just discovered kissing. He really likes to kiss on the lips. It's kind of funny to me. I know Dad gets a kick out of it.
