Grandma Joy's

Last Saturday we had a party at Grandma Joy's house. The whole family doesn't get together like this very often and it was fun, fun, fun. We had a fiesta with enchiladas, chips and dip, and desserts. My favorite part was the pinata for the kids. I think all the kids enjoyed it and were all laughing and smiling.

Tyler loved getting all the candy. He and Jason both came home with a ton of sweet treats.

Jason is having a blast.

Ohhhhhh...look at us. 8 years and counting.

We also had fun playing this game. You throw the rope weighted down with golfballs so it wraps around the pipes. Tyler liked playing this game with Cory.

Hiking with the Hobbs

Last weekend the New Mexican Hobbs were in town. It was soooo much fun. I really get along with them and we have become good friends through the years, so I was so thrilled to be able to spend time with them.

On Friday we went hiking up the City Creek trails. The boys loved it and we all had such a great time.

Jacob and Shauna. So glad I was finally able to meet her.

I love this picture of my mom.

Sam and Kiley. They are getting married next weekend. Yeah!!

Funny ole' me.

Jess and Hudson. He loved being out and seeing nature.

Tyler had fun finding caves and throwing rocks in the creek. It was fun.

Jason in the flowers.

Tyler blowing dandelions.

This was the kids favorite part. They loved putting their feet in the cold, cold water.

Swimming

I am so grateful that we live so close to parents and grandparents. I have enjoyed getting to go to Dad's house on the hot days and let the kids play. We have a hard time in our neighborhood letting the kids play outside. We have an alley that cars really speed through and the river in the front yard. So we have been going to Dad's house. Tyler and Jason enjoy swimming in Papa's pool. I enjoy being able to lay in the sun for a moment.

They love swimming and being able to ride their bikes without any worries.
Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us use your driveway and yard. The boys love coming over and being outside.

TEE-BALL

This summer we decided to have Tyler join a Tee-ball team. He loves it so far. He has had 2 games already. For kids this young, they don't keep score or anything, they just have all the kids hit the ball and run the bases. He told me that his team shirt...that he got at his last game was his new favorite shirt. I think he really enjoys it. I love that he is on a team and is getting to know sports and how to work together.

Tyler and his coach Brandi at his first practice.

Firestation open house

Last weekend the firestation had a huge open house. I just had to take the boys to it.

Tyler is dressed and ready to fight fires.

Isn't Jason adorable in his fire outfit.

Tyler is anxiously waiting his turn to go into the smokey (it was just fog) building.

I thought they looked soooo cute.

Tyler really enjoyed climbing in and out of all the trucks. Jason said he was too scared to go in there. So we just watched Tyler.

Tyler also loved spraying the water hose. He even was able to hold the hose all on his own.

He hit the target!! Then afterwords he kept asking the helper if he could water the trees and flowers with his hose. Too cute!

Jason's turn. He needed some help though.
The kids had a blast. They came home with a stash of candy and fireman hats.

Childrens Museum in SLC

A few weeks ago we were able to go to Stansbury Park to spend a few days with Cory's sister Melissa and her family. It was a Christmas gift that they gave us for Christmas. It was a really fun weekend and we had so much fun. One of the highlights was being able to go to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake City.

Jason playing with the balls.

They shoot up into little pipes that run the balls all over the place. Up pipes, down a tunnel...it was awesome!

Jason liked playing on the constructions set the best.

The boys on a horse. It was plastic but almost looked real-life. It was as tall as I am.

Jason buying a lot of groceries. What a healthy eater he is!!!

We could not get Tyler away from the water sensory table. He would stay there all day if we let him. Once he discovered that, he didn't want to do anything else.

We made green foam.

Then we got to try our foam. Mine was disgusting. Tyler mixed a bunch of colors together and his turned brown. I think he drank most of his though.

We also made clay pots.

And we were able to get inside a real helicopter.

Thank you Nate, Lissa, Kayla, and Allie for the awesome Christmas present. We love it.

Jason's Birthday with the Miles

We celebrated Jason's birthday with the Miles on his official birthday. Like I said before, I can't believe that he is already 3 years old.

Jason loves trains and asked if I would make him a train cake. This is what I came up with. I didn't do fondant this time around, but I am still experimenting with frosting. I just need to keep practicing.

I think this picture of the boys is simply adorable. They play so well together now and are best friends. I love that they get along so well now.

Silly faces.

Another great shot of Tyler.

Jason was spoiled by Aunt Ashley and Uncle Dave who gave him his favorite friend. Handy Manny. He insists on sleeping with him every night now. It's too cute.

Jason is also very obsessed with Thomas the Train. He got a few new trains and some tracks, books, and from Grandma and Grandpa Miles....some Trackmaster. Both Tyler and Jason love that because the trains move on their own. Or as Tyler calls them...robots.

Brothers!!!

Jason's Birthday with the Hobbs

I cannot believe that Jason is 3 years old already. Boy the time does fly. Since Mom and Dad are so busy on Sunday's we celebrated with them a day early at Chili's. It so so nice and relaxing. We were able to just sit, talk, and eat. We haven't done that for awhile and I really enjoyed it.

I thought this was such a cute picture of Tyler.

He got to open one present too. I new swimming suit. He needed one for sure.

Cute picture of mom and dad.

The whole group. Not the best picture in the world.

Jason loved opening all of his gifts. Thanks Grandma and Papa for the new outfits and toy. We love you.
