Christmas Eve 2008

Tyler's brand new New Balance sneakers. He was in dire need of new shoes.

What is it???

It's a gift from Angie, Brian, and Travis.....!!!

A grandchildren/family calendar.

They each got a matching one for each of their offices.

We also made this cute little book of all the grandchildren as well. Yeah for Shutterfly.

Dad loved his re-usable shopping bags I made him. They hold a lot of food and are super strong.

I thought this picture of dad was funny. He's just as excited as Tyler is at opening the gigantic dinosaur.

He loves this dinosaur and insisted on sleeping with him on Christmas Eve. He likes to carry it around on his shoulders too.

Krista made this awesome jacket for Tyler. You may not tell what it is yet......

It's a jacket with dinosaur scales on it. Awesome. Tyler also insists on wearing this jacket everywhere we go. We've gotten so many comments on it. It is so cute. Thank you Krista.

Me and my dinosaur lover.

Jason likes dinosaurs too. They are tasty.

I've always wanted a sock monkey for Jason and Tyler. I just haven't seen one. What I surprise I got from Brian and Krista....thank you for the sock monkey. Jason likes to sleep with it in his crib.

Here are me and Jason opening his jammies.

They are so cute.

Cory and Jason in their jammies and Cory himself in the coolest pajamas ever.

Christmas Eve was pretty busy for us. I had to work that morning, which I didn't think it was going to be busy at all.....and, I was wrong. I was pretty busy with a lot of last minute shoppers and more male shoppers than I've ever had. After I was done working, we went to Mom and Dads for dinner and then we ended up opening presents with them on Christmas Eve because they were thinking of going out of town and we were going to be with the Miles Christmas morning. I'm glad we did it that way. Because we actully spent the night at the Miles' house and then we had Christmas morning with them. There was a huge blizzard Christmas Eve night and we would've been snowed in at our house. We did get snowed in at the Miles house too. It was a pretty crazy Christmas, but it was fun too.

Santa Claus

Notice Jason just chillin and checking Santa out. Tyler, just keeps looking at me.

We took the boys to see Santa Claus at the mall. He was so nice. Jason just stared at him not knowing what to think. Tyler wouldn't dare sit on his lap. We had to practically force him to sit on the edge of the chair. And, they let us take our own pictures. Yeah. We didn't get good pictures though because there was a line behind us.

Family Photos

For those who are interested, Amy was generous enough to take some photos for us yesterday. See her favorites from the shoot here.

My two boys

What are those green marks on Jason's face?
I looked away for a few seconds and Tyler wrote on Jason's face. At least it wasn't too bad. Just a few marks and a smiling baby. Cute.

I asked Tyler what happened to Jason's face? He said he wanted to color him.
"I color Jace."

There is a little mischief in that smile of Tyler's.

I like this picture of the boys because I was taking the picture of Tyler, but you can see Jason just a smiling and a smiling.

Tyler loves Jason.

Another one of my favorites. It's like they know what the other one is thinking.

Molinellis Jewelry Store

Funny Story. I got a post card in the mail from Molinelli's Jewelry Store saying that they were having a ladies night with a lot of free stuff and you can look at all their jewelry collections. Well, I invited Amy to go since she was in the market for rings.....but just to make it clear, she is not engaged...yet. So, we waited in lline in the cold winter air and got our free gift bags full of chocolates, a christmas tree ornament, and a calander and then we looked around and put our names in drawing to win stuff. Both Amy and I fell in love with some brown pearls. I know brown. They were beautiful and expensive. Well, it was a fun evening...and what's that you ask? Did I win anything???? Why yes, yes I did. I won some glass knitting needles and I don't even know how to knit. They are pretty cool looking though.

I'm excited to look at Jewelry.

Amy and Laurie are excited too.

I just heard my name. Yeah. What did I win...?

Fancy smancey knitting needles. I really like the case. Do you think it's too big to hold my glasses in?

Letters to Santa

A few days ago my mother-in-law Laurie gave me these adorable letters with matching envelopes so that the boys could send a letter to Santa Clause. I sat down with Tyler and asked what he would like to ask Santa for. This is what he said.

Those items are in order as Tyler said them. I was laughing pretty hard while I was writing it.

Tyler is so proud of his list.

Since Jason can't talk yet, I asked Tyler what he thought Jason would like for Christmas. This was pretty funny too.

All Jason wanted to do was eat his list.

It is very tasty.

Nest stop, the post office.

Tyler was excited to mail his letter, but not as excited to see these electronic wire reindeers at the post office. I had to keep urging him to mail the letter.

There it goes.

Ho Ho Ho!!! Merry Christmas.

Thanksgiving

I know, this post is a few weeks late. For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Cory's aunt and uncles house. Byron and Kathy made a wonderful feast. We had turkey, potatoes, awesome individual jell0o molds made by ours truly, and a ton of pie. It was fun to have the family all there to celebrate. We are blessed and thankful to live so close to many family member's and that we can see them frequently. On Friday I woke up at 4:00 and went out with Jenni and Ted to Wal-Mart. We sent my good mother to Shopko to pick some things up for us. She ended up going to like 3 or 4 different stores all while we were still at Wal-Mart. We really are crazy. I had to work a for a few hours after this and I was so tired that night. Then, on Saturday we had another party to attend. What a busy week.

What happened to my crust?

Sick.

I was so mad. I made this crust and as you can tell, it didn't turn out at all. Then, Cory decides to try and make it. He made the most beautiful and perfect pie crust I had ever seen. It tasted and looked like heaven. That Cory.

Pictures of Thanksgiving Day at Byron and Kathy's.

Cute Kayla and Allie.

Me.

Baby Jason. He's been grabbing his ear a lot lately. I don't know if he has an ear infection or just likes to grab his ear.

What a cute smile.

On Saturday we went to a Miles Thanksgiving/early Christmas dinner. A lot of Cory's aunts and uncles were there as well as a ton of cousins. Tyler really had fun playing with Deacon. He is only a few months older than Tyler. They really got into some trouble together that night.

Everyone loves a sharp dressed man.

Look what awesome picture I took. HA HA HA!!

Cute Couple. Nathan and Melissa.

The two love birds Amy and her boyfriend-soon to be-almost fiance, Tyler.
