Jason's birthday

It was Jason's 1st birthday on May 22. I was still feeling a little sick that day so we ended up having his party on Sunday. His cousins Allie and Kayla were there and Tyler too of course. Jason really didn't get the whole present thing so the other, older kids opened almost all of his presents for him. For only being 1 years old, Jason is one spoiled little guy. I made him a Martha cake of course. It was a vanilla cake with butter cream frosting. I totally forgot to take pictures of the cupcakes I made for everyone. They were so cute. They were the vanilla cupcakes, but then, I also made sugar cookies and cut them so they were round, then, I cut the letter J out of the middle for Jason's name. Like I said, they were really, really cute.

Tyler causing troubles before the party.

Jason doesn't even know what's going on.

Cute birthday outfit for a cute 1 year old.

Cute cousins...Tyler and Makayla!

Like I said, the bigger kids opened all of Jason's presents for him.

I thought Allie's hair was so funny in this picture.

What an adorable little birthday cake. His was two layers.

I am so talented. HA! Do you love my cookie with the J cut out of the center?

Such a happy little man.

Jason didn't even cry when we gave him the cake.

He actually ate some of it...and played a lot too.

All done.

More cute pictures of Jason

i

What a cue little smile. I just love his baby buck teeth. He is just so stinking cute!!

Like I said earlier, it has been way too long since I last posted, so I have all these cute pictures of Jason. I really like how photogenic Jason seems to be. The camera loves him.

BEWARE!!! REALLY GROSS PICTURES.

This is what happens when you trim your own toe cuticles......do not do it. This may happen to you.....SICK... it hurt so bad. I thought my toe was going to fall off. I could hardly walk. So, do not do it. Do not think about trimming your own cuticles. Sorry that they are so gross.

Kids can fall asleep anywhere...

Jason asleep while still holding on to his clapper.

I thought this picture of Tyler was pretty cute too.

We were visiting the Miles home one afternoon and Jason was sitting on my lap. I had no idea that he had fallen asleep. He loves that hand clapper and was just holding on to it and playing. I thought it was funny that he fell asleep on my lap while still clinging to the hand clapper. Kids, they really can fall asleep anywhere.

Dinosaur Park

A few weekends ago we made our way to Ogden's Dinosaur Park. Melissa and Nathan gave us tickets for Christmas and so we went with them, and Scot and Laurie. We ended up getting season passes which also include a lot of free admissions to other places. Very worth it. I don't recall ever going to the Dinosaur Park, but there is a little museum and then the actual outdoor park with life-like dinosaurs. Tyler was quite a handful. He ran around the museum, but, once we were outside, he was a little scared. The dinosaurs were huge, and they had background noises over the intercom with dinosaurs growling. It was kind of loud and Tyler got scared and started crying. He didn't want to see anymore dinosaurs. I don't even think we saw the whole park. We'll try again since we did get season passes.

Makayla in Tyler's car-seat. Tyler wanted to ride with Allie. How did we luck out and get to drive with the 5 year old and baby, while Nate and Melissa got stuck with 2 three year olds?

Jason is ready to see some dino's!!

Our certificates.

Scary....!!

Tyler really liked this baby. He kept talking to it the way he talks to Jason in a soft baby like voice. It was really cute.

He would hardly stand still for me to take this picture.

Jason fell asleep on Cory's back and stayed asleep for almost the whole time we were there.

Cute. Cute. Cute.

Look how big they are.

Tyler is starting to get a little scared here.

The tears are welling up.

Ohhhhhhhh...poor Tyler.

He just wanted to go home at this point.

Cute family. Allie, Melissa, Makayla, and Nate.

Watch out Kayla!!!

Tyler was not afraid of these silly boards. It's one of the things he loved about the park. He loved poking his head through the holes.

We made it to the playground.

I'm getting carried away by a baby dinosaur...help me!

Cute baby.

Tyler is brushing the sand off some bones....

Tyler loved this. This was an activity were some special shiny rocks were hidden and Tyler had 10 minutes to find as many as he could, he found a whole bucket worth of rocks.

Jason

I can't believe Jason is now over 1 years old. It has been crazy to me how fast the time has flown by. Last year at this time he was just a tiny, tiny newborn. Now, he is crawling, almost walking, and really getting into things. He has been an absolute joy to have in the family. He is so happy all the time. I just love his sweet spirit and fun loving, laid back way about him.

Outfit for wedding

These are pictures of Jason in the new outfit he got for Amy's wedding in August. Tyler would not try it on. I think that Jason looks so cute in it. I can't wait until the boys will both wear them in August. Jason's has a little brown bow tie that really makes the whole outfit. I think I may try to make ties out of aqua to match the rest of the wedding colors though.

New Job

I know, it's been a long while since I posted last. But, I just wanted everyone to know that I got a new job. I quit Maternal Instincts after working there for over 3 years and I am now working at Sears. I am in the shoe department which is a really hard department to be in since I love shoes so much. It is a really nice place to work and I have liked it so far.

I have been so sick....

The last four days have been miserable. I have been so sick. It has been crazy. There should be a rule or a law that mom's should never have ot get sick. Ever. I sure hope the kids don't get what I had. On Sunday my fever was 103, Monday..101, Tuesday night....vomiting...I know...too much information. Sick. Tuesday I went to the Dr. and was prescribed a pretty good antibiotic. And today, Wednesday....I am feeling okay. My sore throat is still hurting and I have a major headache, but I actually went outside today. I am still wearing the same clothes as yesterday, but, when I take a bath tonight, I will put on clean clothes and wash my hair...ahhhh, I can't wait..at least I am not growing little piggy tails and ears.
