Tyler can stand on his own!

I think we're in trouble now. Tyler can stand on his own. AHHHH!!!! I think we'd better baby proof our house finally. Oh nooooo. It's probably going to be in no time when he can walk...ahhh.

Tyler and Cory

Here's Cory trying to teach Tyler how to walk. He's getting pretty good at crawling and can stand up on his own while holding onto the couch. He'll even try to crawl up the stairs which is kind of scary for me to watch.

Uh-Oh

Tyler is getting bigger and bigger. Now that he's learned how to crawl, he wants to start standing. He's into everything, including all of Cory's computer wires. I think it's time to move the computer out of Ty's room and into the basement.

June's cake and Peurto Rico

Our friends, the Hill's, are in town from Houston, Texas so I made them the Martha's June cake and they taught us a new game called Puerto Rico. It's a strategy game (which Cory and I like), and it's soooo much fun. It's kind of hard to explain how to play, but if you ever get the chance to play it, I highly recommend that you do. I think I'm going to by it at www.funagain.com, then we can teach the whole family how to play. It's kind of like Settlers, but different. It is fun though.

How does everyone like my pie plate? I don't have a cake stand, so I flipped a glass pie pan upside down and used it as one so that my cake could look beautiful.

We had so much cake left-over that we invited Krista and Madison over to try it. Krista said she didn't know if she was going to make it. We didn't add as much flour as teh directions said, which made the cake dense and fudg-like. It did have a wierd texture though. We all loved the frosting though. We thought it was the best part of the cake.

GET YOUR OWN BOX!

"Yummmm, I like the box."

"Don't even think about it."

Tyler 's favorite toy

This round block is one of Tyler's favorite toys. It's just a circular long block. If this toy is on the other sideo fo the room and all his other toys are layed out, he's crawl past his other toys and get this toy. It's pretty cute. He just loves his round block.

Tyler

Here's Tyler trying to grab the camera.

He loves to eat everything, even his changing table.

"What's that on floor?"

What a cutie pie!

I jsut wanted to update everyone on how Tyler is doing and growing. He's a whopping 27 pounds and 32 inches long. What a big boy!! He's an official crawler now. He's been slowly trying to figure it out and just a few days ago he crawled all the way across the room. I can also happily say that Tyler can finally sit up on his own. I know, it took him awhile. I think it's just because he was big. Tyler loves to play. He's also very good at exploring and loves to tip over the garbage cans. He also loves getting into cords. We always have to keep an eye on him.

A Popsicle at Bathtime!

The Damage:
The Solution:
It's been another hot day in Pocatello, so we decided to let Ty try a popsicle. He enjoyed it, especially when it fell off the stick - he was able to play with and eat the little pieces. Of course, we didn't want to have to wash down our whole kitchen (or worse, our living room), so we just stripped him down and set him in the bathtub. Afterwards, we stripped off his diaper, filled the tub, and washed him off. We took video of him eating the popsicle, but I'm too lazy to transfer it to the computer, which is why there are no pictures of that.

Cory's Spot: Website: Pandora: www.pandora.com

Like many of my posts in the software and website categories, this one comes only after Pandora has already gotten a fair bit of media attention. Nonetheless, I suspect it's a site many people still haven't heard about, but would enjoy.

Pandora is a web-radio site, but what makes it unique is that you can create a large number of personalized "radio stations," starting with just one song or artist you already know you like. From there, it's possible to suggest other songs to clarify the musical direction you want your station to go, or you can simply rate the songs Pandora suggests with a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

For example, I started my first station out by suggesting Dave Matthews Band's The Stone and, after a bit of fine-tuning, I've come up with this station. I'm also experimenting with a couple of other stations to try to establish different stations for different moods, but all with music I like.

I haven't really done it justice with my description here - just give Pandora a try here and see how you like it - it's a good way to get a radio station you like, and a good way to discover new music.
