Camping on a wim...!

"Where are you guys taking me?"

This was taken when we first arrived at the campsite.

Me and Ty waiting for Cory to come back with fire wood.

Cute picture of Cory and Tyler.

What a macho man!!?

Here's the branch, log, or tree that Cory found for firewood. I don't know what exactly to call it. It was a huge peice of wood.

Look closely, Cory has a ghostie on his shoulder.

Cory cooking our chicken.

It's starting to get a bit chilly out here.

Here's our cute little tent. It was way easy to set up. Our air-mattress even fits inside. Perfect.

The other day Cory said to me, "You know dear, I have the day off tomorrow, do you want to go camping?" And I said, "Sure lets leave right now." So, that's how our camping trip all started. Cory was running amuck hrough the whole house trying to get things together and organized for our outing. AndI was sitting there asking myself, "What have I gotten myself into?" A few hours later we were off to Willow Flats which was just an 1 1/2 hours away. The campsite was gorgeous. We were surrounded by trees and fresh air. And there was even a little creek that flowed through the camp grounds. We set up our tent and walked around afterwords. Tyler just kept staring at the trees and he wanted to play in the dirt. We zipped him up in the tent a few times so he wouldn't get too dirty. We had to look for fire wood and Cory left for a few minutes and then comes walking up with a huge tree branch over his head. It was pretty funny. He cut it into logs so we could have a safe fire. Every time the hatchet would hit hte wood, Tyler would just giggle and giggle. He loved watching his dad. It was cute. We had dutch oven chicken for dinner and then roasted marshmellows over the fire when it was dark. Once the fire was out and we didn't have anymore wood to burn, we were off to bed and that's when all the real troubles began. Poor Tyler didn't want to go to bed. He just screamed and screamed. Finally we put him in the middle of us, but he still wouldn't sleep. Good thing we didn't have close neighbors or else they would've been cursing at us. Also, Cory and I really weren't prepared for the cold draft during the night. We don't have sleeping bags so we just brought a few blankets for us. Yep, we froze. DUring the night we heard a vistor enter our campsite. Cory peeked out the window of our tent and saw...a skunk. He shined his flashlight on it until it left. But, it didn't stay away long. When morning finally arrived, we packed up our things and left. We did sleep in our comfortable bed when we got home and it was wonderful. Although, this was not the best camping experince ever, it was fun. We do plan on going again, but maybe we'll have someone watch Tyler for the night instead of bringing him with us. Or waiting until he's a little older to take him.

Glamour-mom

These pictures were taken on the day of Scott's wedding. Since we din't go, I didn't want to waste good hair and make-up. So, here's me and Tyler posing for some pictures.

Trip to Toelle

What a cute couple!!?

All three grandchildren with their Grandpa

Me, Tyler, and Allie. Tyler loves his cousin Allie. He's just amazed with her and he always wants to take a bite out of her leg.

Tyler is so happy to be around his cousins.

Allie liked getting on top of Tyler and riding him like a horse.

Ride em cowgirl.....

and cowboy!!

A few weeks ago we went to Toelle, Utah to visit Cory's sister and to go to Scott and Gabby's wedding. We left Thursday afternoon and came home on Sunday. Friday we went to Park City and did a little shopping at the outlets. Saturday, we were supposed to go to Scott and Gabby's wedding, but do to unfortunate events we were unable to make it to the ceremony. Cory had to rush to an Urgent Care for stiches. The day before he had bought an Anolon 10 in. chefs knife and he was taking it out of the sheath on Saturday morning and cut his middle finger. He wouldn't let me take pictures of it...again. So I only have the story to tell. It was pretty nasty though. That night though, we were able to attend the reception. I forgot our camera, so you only have Dad's pictures to look at. On Sunday we hung out with Cory's family some more and then later, in the afternoon, we headed home. It was nice to get out for the weekend and to see family. We had a great time, except for the little accident.

Spaghetti

This posting is for Julie. A few months ago when I was at her house, she asked me if Tyler had ever had spaghetti. I looked at her as if she were crazy. I also said, "Babies can't have spaghetti." Well, Julie, here's the proof. Tyler loves spaghetti. We had to give him a bath right afterword too. His face was stained orange from the sauce. And since these pictures were taken, he's had spaghetti quite a few times.

Swimming in the back yard!

These girls are Tyler's cousins. From left to right it's Allie, Makayla, and of course, Tyler.

"I love to swim!"

"Look, I can stand!"

A few weeks ago, while I was at work, Cory took Tyler to his parents house so that he could go swimming in the backyard with his cousins. At first he was a little hesitant of the water, but once he got used to it, he loved it. It's been a really hot summer this year so it was good for Tyler to enjoy the water.

Update, update, update...who wants an update!!

Sorry for the lack of postings. We've been a little busy this summer with enjoying Tyler, working, doing stuff with family, and just having a relaxing summer. I'm also sorry that when I make a blog posting, I usually make a few diffferent postings. All in all though, I hope you enjoy all the new updates.

Mouseover of Dan's Grant and Blake Fix

I was playing around with comparing the differences between the original of this photo and the fixes Dan made and decided it would be easier with a mouseover, so here you go.

HIVES.......oh my!

Last week Tyler had an ear-infectioni so the Dr. gave him amoxocillan(sorry about the spelling) and then he broke out into a rash on his stomach and back. The Dr. then changed his medicine tp something else, but the rash never went away. The Dr. thinks he may be allergic to penicillian. This week his rash got worse and so then we took him back to the Dr. yesterday. The good news is that Tyler doesn't have an ear infection anymore. The bad news is that now he's on prednosolne (sorry about he spelling again). He hates it. We have to make him take it. Poor guy. Here are a few pictures of his hives. He wouldn't hold still at all. But you can still see a little bit of them. He's doing much better today. The reddness has gone down. He still has a little rash, but it's not as bad as it was a few days ago.

Tyler has discoverd the toliet paper.....

Tyler has discoverd the toliet paper roll this week. I was in the bathroom getting beautified for my day when Tyler came crawling in. He sat on the floor behind me for awhile. When Tyler became quite I had too see what he was doing. And there he sat in the middle of toilet paper. He loves to pull on it and rip a few sheets off ata time and throw it in the air. He also likes to eat it, which I don't like. Now, every time we accidentally leave the bathroom door open he automatically crawls straight to the toilet paper. Ahhh...what a mess.
