Since there is so many Tyler posts, I decided to post a few pictures of Jason. Tomarrow he will be 4 weeks old. Oh my goodness. It's gone by really fast. Not a lot has changed. He's still eating every few hours, I'm still a feeding machine. Tyler hasn't been too nice to Jason this week. We've had a lot of time-outs lately. Jason still likes his pacifier. We've already lost two and so I went to Maternal Instincts yesterday and bought 4 more. He loves being bundled up and carried around in that awesome carrier mom made me. He's been waking up more, for a few hours at a time sometimes. Needless to say, it's still an adventure here at the Miles house. We're still trying to ajust, but we're loving every minute of it.

Swing
Family Fun Day.

This is the coolest sling ever. Mom made me one. I use it every single day. It's the best baby sling I've ever used.

This was one of Tyler's favorite thing of the day. He just rocked and rocked on this alligator teeter totter.

Last Saturday we went to Pocatello's Family Fun Day. It was at Ross Park and it was FREE!! There was a bunch of booths set up and activities directed just for kids. We had a lot of fun. It was really hot though. I'm glad there was something focused just for kids we could go to.
Awesome Park

WEEEEE!!!

Tyler hates these kind of bridges. I had to help him cross it and it still took him about 5 minutes to cross. I thin he's afraid of the holes and seeing the ground.

This park was next to the play-land in Idaho Falls. We took Tyler to it after we went on the rides. The park has a super soft floor and some pretty cool toys. Very different from what we have here in Pocatello. We'll have to remember to go there again when we go back to Idaho Falls. The one bad thing about it is that it was super crowded.
Tautphous Park
Last week we went to Idaho Falls because I started treatments on my tatoo again. Well, we decided to take Tyler to the Tautphous Park Funland. It was way fun. He first wanted to try to go on the carousel with the horses. So, Cory put him on a horse on the outside of the carousel, but the ride worker wouldn't let Cory walk by Tyler, so Cory left and Tyler just cried. But, when he got off and watched, he kept saying "Neigh, Neigh," every time a horse would pass the fence where he was. It was funny. After the carousel, Tyler tried the train, which was a much better choice for him. He was the only kid on there and he loved it. After the train, Tyler and I went on the ferris wheel. I thought Tyler would be the one to get scared, but he loved it and I was the one to get a little nervous when we were at the top. It was so much fun. I'm glad we were able to go.

Don't cry over broken eggs....
This is what you get when you take a nursing mom and a 2 1/2 year old.

A whole carton of eggs spilled on the kitchen floor. All of them were cracked and Ty managed to get the three worst ones on the counter. I thought he went in the kitchen to get some grapes or strawberries, this is not what I was expecting to see. Funny boy.

2 weeks old
I can't believe that it's already been two whole weeks since Jason was born. He really is starting to change. He's not as swollen as he was and his umbilical cord finally fell off. He's turning into a real baby now. He mostly sleeps, eats, and poops. He's starting to walk up more in the afternoons. He likes the sun and tries to lift his head towards it when it's shining through the windows. Whenever Tyler and Cory are being loud, Jason tries to see what they are doing by leaning his head in that direction. Jason really likes to wake me up int he middle of the night though. Ecspecially when I am almost asleep. I think he senses that and then he cries for me. He likes to be held in a carrier with his ear next to your heart. He likes to be nice and snug. He doesn't really like his car seat as well as Tyler did. He likes the gumdrop pacifiers, good thing we sell them at work. They are hard to come by. And, when he's hungry, he's hungry, there is not much warning.

Cinnamon candied Almonds...
All while I was pregnant, I craved the cinnamon almonds like you can get at the fair. Well, we decided to finally try them out. It wasn't exactly what I expected them to be, but they were still really good. I think if I were to make them again, I would put more almonds in, so they aren't so sugary. And I think I would use cinnamon flavoring instead of plain cinnamon, just to give them more kick.
Sugared Cinnamon Almonds
3 1/4 cup Whole almonds
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons cinnamon
1 egg white
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
1. Beat egg white until frothy. Add vanilla and salt.
2. Add almonds; toss to coat.
3. Mix cinnamon and sugar; add to almonds; toss to coat.
4. Spread on greased pan (2 Tablespoons butter). Bake at 300° F for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Noah's blessing.....
Last Sunday we went to Idaho Falls to go to Noah's baby blessing. It was really nice to see Julie and her family and Grandma and Connie too. Noah was so darn cute, he had so much dark hair and the cutest cheeks ever. I liked showing off Jason too. We didn't really have a ton of time to get pictures of Noah and Jason together though, so hopefully next time we go to Idaho Falls we can get the babes together for a picture and Tyler and Christopher too.
Here is the beautiful blanket that Grandma made.
I love it. Thank you Grandma. I really like how big it is. Tyler likes the bugs on it too.
Connie holding Jason.

The doll house of course. He loves it.
