Early Halloween Party

Melissa and Nathan were in town on Sunday so we decided to have us a little early Halloween party. It was so much fun. We didn't dress up, but we had some fun Halloween inspired food.

Melissa's veggie tray.

My deviled egg eye balls.

Mummy cheese ball.

And, pumpkin jello jigglers.

Cute Makayla and her missing tooth.

Me and Allie having fun together.

Lower Palisades hike

On Saturday, Cory and I were able to go on a hike to Lower Palisades Lake with Mom and Dad. We were kind of nervous because it was so cold during the week and even snowed. The whole way down we were worried that we weren't able to make it....but, we did it. We hiked 4 miles up to the lake and then the 4 miles down. It was the perfect time to go. It was beautiful. The leaves on the trees were changing to fall colors. Red, orange, yellow leaves were everywhere. We also saw green trees, snow, and basically all four seasons. It was awesome. I do know that I have to get in better shape if I want to hike Tablerock next summer. I can't believe I did this. I am so proud of myself.

The beginning of the trail...We are energetic and ready.

See the pretty red trees behind Cory.

Cory climbed up this rock pile that was at the beginning of the trail. It's funny, because I don't remember seeing it on the way down.

Dad could've ran up and down the hill a kazzilion times. He is so energetic and in shape. What a good example. I want to be as fit as him some day.

Two of my favorite people in the world.

I really like this picture of Cory.

Mom and Dad bought these walking sticks at a garage sale...I was a little hesitant to use them at first, but they are wonderful. They helped me get up some of the steep spots on the hike.

How did Cory get so much taller than me...?

This was the perfect spot to take a picture. The fall colored leaves surrounded us. Very beautiful.

Mom and Dad.

This picture will look nice in my living room.

Look at all that snow.

I loved seeing this green leaf among all the red and orange leaves.

Me, Cory, and a tree.

What a cute couple. We are so adventurous.

This shot was taken at the end of the hike. I don't think the pictures are give the actual scenery justice. It was so much more vibrant and beautiful in person.

We did it.

And, after the hike we went to our favorite hamburger joint. FIVE GUYS. Thanks again Trav and Mel for introducing us to it. You can't do anything strenuous and not have a Five Guys burger afterword...

And, it was so worth it. We love Five Guys.

Its snowing...parmesan cheese

Why is it that when I take a quick minute to run downstairs to switch the laundry that the boys always find something to get into. When I came back, this is what I found...

That is Parmesan Romano cheese.

Almost half a jar.

On the floor, in Jason's hair, in the rugs, and on bare feet that had been running in and out of the living room and into the kitchen.

They are having a blast....all I could do was laugh with them, let Tyler help me clean it up and give them a bubble bath.

Look at all of it in his hair....sick.

Just boys

Here are just a few cute pictures of the boys I found.

Tyler and his tongue...a lot of his pictures lately are this exact pose. He will wait until the last moment, when I think he's smiling good, then snap....there is that tongue in the picture again.

Even though Jason isn't looking at the camera in this picture, I really liked it.

There's that cute smile of his.

It's winter time...

It actually snowed here last week. Tyler was excited and wanted to watch the snow fall through the window. I thought the weather was a bit crazy since it went from 80 degrees to 40 degrees over night. I do love the colder weather though. It's so much nicer to me than the 90 degree heat. Today is a perfect day. It's been a 50 degree average...perfect jacket weather. Not too cold, not too hot. I did have to dig out some winter clothes already for the boys. This hat is one of them. Jason loves it. He will actually put it on his own head and crawl around laughing and pulling it on and off. He actually pulled the pom pom off of it. I guess I'll have to sew it back on. I love the pom pom on it.

Sticker mania

Once a month or so, we get these wonderful stickers in the mail with the Disney club thing....I have never signed up, so they keep sending me the pack wanting me to join. They come with a lot of stickers. Tyler always recognized the envelope and goes to town ripping it open to find these stickers. This time they had more than usual and Tyler and Jason had fun sticking them all over our clothes and my face. Jason thought it was fun to stick the stickers on me and peel them off again. He would just laugh and laugh. I thought it was cute.

Why am I the only with stickers on my face....is it more fun to cover mom with stickers or what?

Maybe I should go out like this.

I even had stickers all over my shirt....

and my trashy pants. Jason has them all over him too.

Another look at Jason's sticker mania.

He was having so much fun sticking them on himself.

Good thing they only get them once a month or so.

Sears

I was walking around the mall yesterday because Cory had to work. I decided to go to Sears because I had a few kid advantage clothes to exchange. As I was talking with some old co-worker friends, the Sears Portrait Studio lady came up to me and asked us if we wanted to have our picture taken for free. I was a little hesitant since Amy is our photographer and I knew how good she is. But, I said yes, only because she said we can have a free 8x10. So, here are some photos I stole from the Sears website. HA!! I thought it was pretty random and fun at the same time. The boys did such a great job posing.

This is the 8x10 shot. I am going to give it to Cory so he can put it in his new office.

Oh la la!!!

I love this picture of the boys. I almost got this as the 8x10. I think it's so cute.

His teeth are just peeking through.

Cute one of Tyler.

Okay, so I didn't comb Tyler's hair that morning. I thought it was funny since we ended up getting pictures taken. I guess you never know what's going to happen in a day. Note: comb your boys hair before leaving the house.

Funny of Tyler, cute one of Jason.

Another fabulous one of Tyler....even with his hair.

Ahhhhhh......

We've never had pictures taken like this before. Pretty cute!

Tyler really didn't know what to think ab0out the football. He kept squashing the end in. I thought it was funny, but the photographer lady did not.

He looks like a bad boy. You know the ones in the yearbook who are smiling only with half of their mouth...you all know what I'm talking about.

He looks so tired.

Love it. One of my favorites of Tyler.

Jason was pretty much done by this point. Super cute pictures though.
