Melissa and Nathan were in town on Sunday so we decided to have us a little early Halloween party. It was so much fun. We didn't dress up, but we had some fun Halloween inspired food.

Lower Palisades hike
On Saturday, Cory and I were able to go on a hike to Lower Palisades Lake with Mom and Dad. We were kind of nervous because it was so cold during the week and even snowed. The whole way down we were worried that we weren't able to make it....but, we did it. We hiked 4 miles up to the lake and then the 4 miles down. It was the perfect time to go. It was beautiful. The leaves on the trees were changing to fall colors. Red, orange, yellow leaves were everywhere. We also saw green trees, snow, and basically all four seasons. It was awesome. I do know that I have to get in better shape if I want to hike Tablerock next summer. I can't believe I did this. I am so proud of myself.
Cory climbed up this rock pile that was at the beginning of the trail. It's funny, because I don't remember seeing it on the way down.
Dad could've ran up and down the hill a kazzilion times. He is so energetic and in shape. What a good example. I want to be as fit as him some day.
Mom and Dad bought these walking sticks at a garage sale...I was a little hesitant to use them at first, but they are wonderful. They helped me get up some of the steep spots on the hike.
This shot was taken at the end of the hike. I don't think the pictures are give the actual scenery justice. It was so much more vibrant and beautiful in person.

Its snowing...parmesan cheese
Why is it that when I take a quick minute to run downstairs to switch the laundry that the boys always find something to get into. When I came back, this is what I found...
On the floor, in Jason's hair, in the rugs, and on bare feet that had been running in and out of the living room and into the kitchen.
Just boys
It's winter time...
It actually snowed here last week. Tyler was excited and wanted to watch the snow fall through the window. I thought the weather was a bit crazy since it went from 80 degrees to 40 degrees over night. I do love the colder weather though. It's so much nicer to me than the 90 degree heat. Today is a perfect day. It's been a 50 degree average...perfect jacket weather. Not too cold, not too hot. I did have to dig out some winter clothes already for the boys. This hat is one of them. Jason loves it. He will actually put it on his own head and crawl around laughing and pulling it on and off. He actually pulled the pom pom off of it. I guess I'll have to sew it back on. I love the pom pom on it.
Sticker mania
Once a month or so, we get these wonderful stickers in the mail with the Disney club thing....I have never signed up, so they keep sending me the pack wanting me to join. They come with a lot of stickers. Tyler always recognized the envelope and goes to town ripping it open to find these stickers. This time they had more than usual and Tyler and Jason had fun sticking them all over our clothes and my face. Jason thought it was fun to stick the stickers on me and peel them off again. He would just laugh and laugh. I thought it was cute.

Sears
I was walking around the mall yesterday because Cory had to work. I decided to go to Sears because I had a few kid advantage clothes to exchange. As I was talking with some old co-worker friends, the Sears Portrait Studio lady came up to me and asked us if we wanted to have our picture taken for free. I was a little hesitant since Amy is our photographer and I knew how good she is. But, I said yes, only because she said we can have a free 8x10. So, here are some photos I stole from the Sears website. HA!! I thought it was pretty random and fun at the same time. The boys did such a great job posing.

Okay, so I didn't comb Tyler's hair that morning. I thought it was funny since we ended up getting pictures taken. I guess you never know what's going to happen in a day. Note: comb your boys hair before leaving the house.

Tyler really didn't know what to think ab0out the football. He kept squashing the end in. I thought it was funny, but the photographer lady did not.
