Mine look so cute.

Dentist

Yesterday Tyler went to the dentist for the first time. I have to admit, I was so nervous. I had worries of him screaming and biting the dentist, but all my worries were for no reason. Tyler did excellent. First off, the toy area was full of dinosaurs. He was in heaven. He kept asking the dental assistant and the receptionist what the dinosaur names were and what they said....like ROAR. It was cute. Then, The dental assistant came and asked Tyler if he would bring me back so that she could show him her snakes. Yes, they had snakes...stuffed snakes hung up and draped around the equipment. Very clever. Tyler sat in the big dental chair until the dentist came, then, he sat on my lap and did a fabulous job while the dentist cleaned his teeth and even "painted" his teeth with fluoride. It was over in like 10 minutes. Then, Tyler got to choose a toy and we were off. He loved the dentist and is asking when he gets to go back. Yeah for Tyler.

Jason overload

Be warned. I posted a lot of pictures here of Jason. He is just so darn cute. He is a very photogenic baby. I had fun playing around with the images as well.

Cute smile.

Even cuter.

Just being happy.

I am such a happy baby.

Pretty brown eyes.

Brothers.

Tyler

My little Tyler is growing up so fast. He's turning into quite the little man. I thought these were cute pictures of him.

Abby's baptism

Last weekend I was able to ride down to Utah to attend Abby's baptism. I brought the two boys and I sat in between the car seats. It was quite an adventure. We left at 7:30 am and I think we got home around 6-7 pm. 6 hours in the car all in one day is not good for a 3 year old. He didn't sleep the whole way there or the whole way back. Then, after we got home, he was sick, sick, sick. It was a bad few days there. I was really glad that I got to see Abby get baptized though. She was so excited. After she was lifted out of the water, she sighed extra loud, like she was relieved. I loved it. For Abby's special day, I made her two white bows. I think she liked them. She wore them. I thought she looked so beautiful. Juliette looked beautiful in her new dress too.

Tyler was funny. When they opened the doors to the baptismal font, he asked "Is Jesus coming?" Everyone laughed. But, he kept asking me through out the day when Jesus was going to come. I thought he was being quite insighful that day.

Here is Abby before she was baptized. I thought she looked beautiful.

The proud parents.

Me and Tyler. I had to hold him tight throughout the whole program. He was being kind of naughty.

This is all that Jason did almost the whole time. He just rolled arounf the floor and played with the chairs.

I took a picture of the program. I was so impressed that Abby sang a song at her own baptism. She (and Dad) did a really good job.

Strawberries....oh my

I was on the phone with somebody the other day when I noticed it was a little too quiet. So, I walked into the kitchen and found Tyler plucking the leaves off our strawberries and taking bites out of them. He didn't bother to eat the whole strawberry, instead he took bites out of several just to make sure they all tasted the same. I still don't know how I didn't hear him take the whole container of strawberries out of the fridge...I guess I was too caught up in my conversation.

Sunbeam

This is not a very good picture of Tyler for his first day of Sunbeams. It's all we had. We are not morning people.

Tyler is now an official Sunbeam. He loves it so much. We had to miss the first Sunday because both the boys were sick. So, the second Sunday of the year was Tyler's first day as a Sunbeam. We had to wake him up earlier than he normally wakes up because church is now at 9:00. He had a hard time waking up and then, we had to feed him so that he would be well behaved. I was really nervous because I didn't know how he would do. I just dropped him off at the door and then, the Primary President did the rest. She sat by him and said he was really good. Later I heard that he kept trying to escape. After I picked him up from class, he kept saying how much he liked it and wanted to go back to Sunday School. I can't believe he's growing up so much too. Tyler is such a sweet boy...a terror at times, but sweet for the most part.

Our little cutie pie!!

I just love this outfit.

I got it on Black Friday at Gottschalks with a $10 off $10 or more. I only paid like $7 for it. So cute.

Jason is now almost 8 months old. I can't believe it. Where has the time gone??? I can't believe how much he's grown up. He can sit up all by himself now, not for very long, but for a few minutes. He rolls all over the place. He's a very determined baby. If he wants something across or even just out of his reach, he will stretch and roll until he can reach it. Jason is also a very stubborn baby. He hates his car seat and just last week he screamed all the way home from Idaho Falls. Tyler used to stop and fall asleep, but Jason, he's just a little on the stubborn side. I don't know who he got that trait from. All in all, Jason is a really good baby. He's so happy most of the time and he loves to watch Tyler and he'll just watch your face for minutes at a time. I love his gummy smile and his sweet personality.

Who's that in my bed???

How old do you have to be to use the computer?

Jason is such a cute, happy baby.

Cory is already introducing Jason to the wonderful world of computers and electronics. He loves the laptop and I think Jason likes using our bed too. Speaking of the bed. The head board you see in the background is Grandma and Grandpa Saunders old bed. Dad repainted it this past summer and distressed it for us. He really wanted to keep it. He also refinished the end tables we got from G&G Saunders, and our dresser we got from a garage sale before we got married. Now, we have a whole matching set. HA!!

Weekend after Christmas....!!!

Madison helping Dad make Potato Pie...very good too. I think I want that for dinner.

Tyler wants to help too.

Jason is looking so grown up now.

How many chefs and sous chefs do you need in one kitchen?

Moo Moooooo....Call of the Farm game.

Brian and Krista came to town the weekend after Christmas. We ended up having another fabulous feast with them too. Brian made squash soup....which I love. I've made it once since then, and I crave it. It is just so delightful and healthy. Then, the kids played the Call of the Farm game where you have to make all sorts of animal sounds. Then, all the kids and grandparents went to bed, and we stayed over at Mom and Dad's until like 3:00 am playing Stone Age with Brian and Krista. Cory ended up making hamburgers at 1:00 in the morning for us. We love it when siblings come to town. We end up introducing them to euro games and staying up all night. It was so much fun. I think Cory won all the games though. That Cory. If you are considering buying a game, I recommend Stone Age. It is one of my favorites.

Christmas Day 2008

Santa came and filled all our stockings. He brought Tyler a lot of crap. Jason got a cute new green snugglie.

The kiddos waiting on the stairs to see what Santa brought.

Ohhh yes, a Lightening McQueen sweatshirt.

Tyler is so tired on Christmas.

I'm so excited....I got my very first Cabbage Patch doll. Thank you Cory. This is something I always wanted. Tyler really likes to play with it too.

TTR the card game. We ended up exchanging this for a different game though.

Jason is just happy as can be. He doesn't know what Christmas is all about yet.

Cory's favorite gift this year.

The Alton Brown salt cellar. That's right, a salt cellar. He loves it.

And, I got the Twilight series. I read them all in one week. I loved books 1-3, but 4, not so much. I love them.

As you already know, from the previous post, we ended up spending the night at Scot and Laurie's house. We stayed up way too late and woke up way too early. The kids were super excited that Santa Claus found them at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was a really long day for us. I don't think we got done with everything until like 5:00 pm. It was really fun to do Christmas with so much family. This is the first year we've ever spent Christmas morning at the Miles.

Christmas Eve 2008

Tyler's brand new New Balance sneakers. He was in dire need of new shoes.

What is it???

It's a gift from Angie, Brian, and Travis.....!!!

A grandchildren/family calendar.

They each got a matching one for each of their offices.

We also made this cute little book of all the grandchildren as well. Yeah for Shutterfly.

Dad loved his re-usable shopping bags I made him. They hold a lot of food and are super strong.

I thought this picture of dad was funny. He's just as excited as Tyler is at opening the gigantic dinosaur.

He loves this dinosaur and insisted on sleeping with him on Christmas Eve. He likes to carry it around on his shoulders too.

Krista made this awesome jacket for Tyler. You may not tell what it is yet......

It's a jacket with dinosaur scales on it. Awesome. Tyler also insists on wearing this jacket everywhere we go. We've gotten so many comments on it. It is so cute. Thank you Krista.

Me and my dinosaur lover.

Jason likes dinosaurs too. They are tasty.

I've always wanted a sock monkey for Jason and Tyler. I just haven't seen one. What I surprise I got from Brian and Krista....thank you for the sock monkey. Jason likes to sleep with it in his crib.

Here are me and Jason opening his jammies.

They are so cute.

Cory and Jason in their jammies and Cory himself in the coolest pajamas ever.

Christmas Eve was pretty busy for us. I had to work that morning, which I didn't think it was going to be busy at all.....and, I was wrong. I was pretty busy with a lot of last minute shoppers and more male shoppers than I've ever had. After I was done working, we went to Mom and Dads for dinner and then we ended up opening presents with them on Christmas Eve because they were thinking of going out of town and we were going to be with the Miles Christmas morning. I'm glad we did it that way. Because we actully spent the night at the Miles' house and then we had Christmas morning with them. There was a huge blizzard Christmas Eve night and we would've been snowed in at our house. We did get snowed in at the Miles house too. It was a pretty crazy Christmas, but it was fun too.
