Cyclops Angie

A miracle happened today....I went to the eye doctor. So, I've always bragged about how awesome my vision is and how I was the only one in the family not to have to wear glasses. Well everyone, the time has come. I don't need glasses, but I do need one contact. Apparently I have horrible...I do mean horrible, vision in one eye. The other eye is 20/20. Crazy huh? I think it's pretty funny. During the eye exam they had me cover my right eye with the paddle thingy and the tech asked which row I could read. I said none. I really couldn't see anything with my left eye. I said I knew the top letter was an E but that it was still a little blurry. I knew it was an E anyways. It's always an E. So yes everyone...I am going to get one contact lens for my blind eye. I think it's really funny actually. Just call me Cyclops Angela or One Eyed Angela....ha ha! I never knew something this severe could happen to anyone. It's funny.

Here is proof that I actually went to the Eye Doctor. I know, it's a miracle. And, we've never had vision insurance before now.

After I realized I had one bad eye and one good eye. The techs thought I was pretty funny.

Which eye is bad and which one is good???? I have such pretty eyes hugh???

  2. Oh, I forgot to say.... maybe instead of one contact you can go old school and get a monocle. That would be funny!

  3. Perhaps you can steal Trav's nickname from our ward: Mad-eye Hobbs! That's really weird Angie.

  5. i really like the idea of a monocle. Instead of the pink glasses you were talking about getting today you could get a pink monocle.

everyone: Angela is thinking of ditching the contacts and getting some weird pink glasses. Please, Please, I need some support. Pink glasses are not cool. Any support for me out there?

  6. Angie, don't listen to your Dad. He has no fashion sense. Go for the pink glasses. You are totally awesome and would look gorgeous! I think he's just jealous because he forgot to order pink glasses for himself! haha

  7. Melanie...I'm so glad you agree with me. They aren't that crazy. They're just hot pinkish on the top frame and black on the bottom. They are also rectangular. They looked so good on me. All the girly techs at the Dr.s office even liked them. I'm so going to get them. Cory even said they looked good on me.

  8. P.S. I haven't ordered them yet. We're still trying to figure out if I have the right prescription, but, maybe I'll take pictures of me in my favorite glasses and post them on the blog, then, everyone will see that the pink glasses are the best of the bunch and will totally agree with us to get those ones. They fit with my personality, and I love hot pink and black.

  9. I still think you should get one of those eyeglass spectacles that you just hold up to one eye, now that would be sexy!

  10. HA HA HA!! I actually mentioned that to the lady techs that were helping me out, they just laughed at me. It is weird only having to wear one contact. I can still feel my right eye trying ot be dominant though. It's like my left eye doesn't even know how to work. Jenni, what do you think about my pink glasses? I'm kind of excited.

  11. Yay for pink glasses! I think you would look so cute in them. My cousin has the same problem...pretty much blind in one eye. She has one contact, or glasses with the prescription in one side...I guess it isn't that weird considering almost everyone's eyeglass prescriptions are different for each eye...except for weirdos like Brian who have the same. Hehehe.
