Christmas 2010

The kids got to bed a tough later than usual on Christmas Eve, so they weren't up until 7:00. We all woke up and of course youngest goes first.....

And Jason zoomed down the stairs.

He saw the huge Handy Manny set and just stopped and stared at it.
I don't think he realized just how it got there. It was cute.

Tyler found the pooping reindeer. It poops candy out. He thought it was soooo funny.

He loves the Zhu Zhu pets that Santa brought.

And the Handy Manny set.

After seeing all the gifts from Santa, the kids just wanted to play. So Cory and I made a breakfast of egg whites and muffins. So before opening any gifts, we ate a nice meal together.

Jason gets to open first.

More Handy Manny tools. It is his lucky day.

I got weights.....just what I wanted.

Cory's favorite gift.....a Kindle.

What a mess. It was so nice to just sit and relax all day while the kids played. They loved it too.

Christmas Eve 2010

We had a busy, yet fun filled Christmas Eve day. We started off driving to Idaho Falls to see Grandma Joy. It was fun to spend a few hours there and to just hang out together. She and Connie opened some gifts and I loved seeing their responses. It is always nice going to Grandma Joy's house because I feel that nothing else in the world matters there. Just spending time with Grandma is most important. After her house, we headed back home to Mom and Dad's and made dinner. Cory shortly arrived (he had to work that morning) and our festivities began. We ate a wonderful turkey and pototoe dinner. And, a miracle occurred...Tyler touched the dead turkey and even helped put a rub on it. At Thanksgiving, he wouldn't even go near the turkey. It was funny. We ended our night opening a few presents with Mom and Dad.

The boys are in towels, because they had to take a bath due to lots of honey on their rolls. Which made a sticky, sticky mess.

Jason got Thomas the Train pajamas and Tyler got new Spongebob jammies.

I got mom and dad laughing.

Since we were spending Christmas Eve with them, I made Mom and Dad new jammies too. HA HA!!!! Now they have something to wear when we go out of town with them.

My favorite gift from Mom and Dad was a beautiful tablecloth that Mom made for me. It is white and very beautiful. I am so grateful for that. It is something I will love and cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you.

Juliette's Baptism

Last weekend was such a fun weekend. We were able to go to SLC and watch Juliette get baptized. She looked so beautiful that day and was so excited.

Juliette is ready.

This is one 5 year old who only got 2-3 hours of sleep the night before. OH dear. It was not fun for him to sit through a baptism.

He should know better......

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I bought the kids new Christmas coloring book this week and they love coloring with markers. Usually they are really good with them, but, I had to go upstairs for something, and I come down to this lovely kid. He had drawn a face on his own face. He drew eye-brows, a nose and a smile. It is not coming off very easily so I don't know what to do. Oh dear me.

Kids

Aren't these boys just the cutest kids ever!!!??? They have both been such a joy lately. Jason is growing up way too fast. He is starting to get a little attitude and will throw fits once in awhile. He is a pretty mellow kid for the most part though. We are watching what he eats to determine what he is allergic to. So far all peanuts, beans, and sesame. No chinese food for him. He is really into Handy Manny and Thomas the Train. He loves to set up his train set and make his trains say choo choo. Cory has liked the fact that he has become a little Dadda's boy. He loves his daddy. He loves Tyler and will ask about him when he is at school. When I say it's time to get him he gets really excited and runs to the door. They are best buds.

Tyler has also grown up way too fast for me. He started Head Start in September and has grown tremendously during his time there. He loves school and learning. He has made a few friends too. I think this will help him when he goes into Kindergarten next year. He loves to play games. His mind is always moving and I think the interaction in games helps keep him focused. He is so smart with electronics and I have asked him how to do some things on the computer that he has figured out and I have no idea what to do. He too loves Thomas the Train and Handy Manny. He also liked to play BINGO with Jason. His favorite book right now is The Gingerbread Man. He and Jason play so well together and Tyler is watching out for him.

We love our two boys!!!!!

New teeth

I don't know if all of you know this, but Cory is in the process of getting a total mouth replacement. This is a replica of the first step. He is currently wearing a splint to widen his mouth, but once he is finished with that, the Dentist is going to put in the first 12 crowns. Ohhhh it sounds so painful. The white teeth are the first twelve. Once those are complete, he will get the rest done at a later date. I think I need my teeth whitened so that my teeth will look as beautiful as his.

CATAN!!!

This is the only way we can get a good Catan game in with the kids still awake. We have learned our lesson and now only hold game nights in the evenings. When the children are sleeping. The electronic devices sure do keep them occupied though. So funny.

Jason's first trip to the E.R.

Last Friday we don't' know exactly what Jason ate, but, he was coughing and wheezing, and his stomach was retracting, he was kind of gagging and acting like he was going to throw up...so we had to give him the Epi-pen shot. It was the first time he's ever had a reaction like that. I was a little nervous for him. The E.R. doctors said it was definitely the right thing to do. They had 2 respiratory specialist come and monitor him until he was stable. He was pretty lethargic at this point and pretty much laid there while they gave him breathing treatments and other liquid medicines.

Poor little thing. We are going to get him tested for more allergies as soon as he's feeling better. We know for sure he is allergic to all nuts, but we think and a pretty sure there are more foods he is allergic too.

This episode wiped him out.

A few hours later.....he is feeling much like him self and so much better.

He just wants to sleep now.

Crying because he didn't like the heart monitor on his foot.

Tyler's friend party

We let Tyler have a separate birthday party with his friends. He didn't really invite too many kids, just a few of his closest. I made an adorable Handy Manny cake..which he LOVED!!!

The top of the cake....Cory made the 5 and cut the dots out of the fondant.

I made all the Handy Manny tools a few days before hand. They were a lot harder than I thought they would be. They turned out pretty cute though.

Tyler was excited that all the tools were on the cake.

View of the whole cake.

This is Tyler's good friend Olivia. They play so well together.

Lance, Olivia, Jason, Tyler and Blake.

Tyler turns 5!!!

Tyler turned 5 years old last week. We first celebrated at Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs house. They made Tyler homemade pizza and his favorite....SALAD!!! Grandma also made Tyler's favorite dessert....gingersnap cookies. He was so spoiled. After dinner we opened presents.

This one was a 3-piece Spongebob puzzle from Jason.

Jason wanted to help open presents too.

A Transformers laptop!! Awesome!

Tyler really likes this. Its a TRIO snaps of SUPERMAN. One of his favorite superheroes.

Handsome little man!!

Its a bird, its a plane.....its SUPERMAN!!

Candles on his favorite cookie.

Too cute.
