HIGH--HO SILVER...AWAY!!

We have a really cool "free" petting zoo here in Pocatello. McKee's petting zoo. It's in the back of a pet shop. We decided to go there one afternoon with Tyler since he loves animals so much. He was excited to see the dogs and cats, and there was a cute little monkey there. He also liked the birds....they were pretty loud and were jumping all over the place like crazy little jumping beans. Then we went to the petting zoo part where we saw all sorts of new animals like a camel, some freaky looking goats. Did you know, that a goats eyeball cornia is rectangular shaped? It was kind of creepy actually. We saw some newborn donkey's that were like a week old. They were so cute. I loved them. And we saw some Llama's and some freaky sheep. But, what was Tyler's favorite animal.....the quarter ride HORSE. So, we put a quarter in it and the dang thing didn't even work. Tyler still loved it though. He thought it was awesome just sitting on top of it. Again, it's a good thing we have that handy dandy phone so that we can take pictures when ever and where ever we are.

Happy Four Year Anniversary to US!!

A few of our favorite characters joined us on our anniversary....Frodo

AND...

WAIT FOR IT....

WAIT FOR IT.....

HARRY POTTER!!

It's been four years since we were married. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I still remember waiting in the Celestial Room with Cory as he comforted me tenderly....I was starting to get sick....and then as we held hands and walked up the stairs to join all our family and friends who came to watch us get sealed to one another. Wow. It's been four years already is pretty much all Cory and I could say to one another this year. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun. That's all I can say about our marriage. Sure, we've had our ups and our downs, but we're still best friends and we're still loving and cherishing every moment we have with one another. We truly were meant to be together, and both Cory and I are excited to spend forever with one another. I know, this sounds a bit cheesy, but it's true. Anyways, for our anniversary, my mom and dad watched Tyler for us and we went out to dinner and then went window shopping. There really isn't a lot to do in Pocatello, and, we want to take advantage and actually go shopping without Tyler reaching and grabbing for everything and anything.....even people.

Guess who I ran into at the Pocatello Mall

It's a good think we have these awesome cell phones with camera's on them. You never know who you're going to run into. I just happened to run into Darth Vader and his clan at the mall one day. It was an awesome day. I was working at a booth for Maternal Instincts for the childrens fair that was taking place. And, the booth right across from mine was Darth Vader. OHHHH! So, of course I had to get my picture taken with him. During the slow parts of the day me and the Vader clan would chat and some of the people on their team even asked me if I wanted to dress up as Princess Leah when they go out to events. It sounds a little cooky to me. I would do it once though. Just to say I did it. Well, another cool thing that happened that day is that the booth on the other side of mine was giving away the newest Tickle Me Elmo. They had some yummy cupcakes on their table so I asked if I could have one. They said only if I signed up for some email thing, so I did. They said the give away for the Elmo was on one of the cupcake bottoms. I said to the guy, I bet it is that one. And as I picked the cupcake up and looked at the bottom, there was the sticker that said I was the winner of the newest Tickle Me Elmo. What a cool day this was turning out to be. So, I went to pick Tyler up after the children's fair at Dad's house, and we gave the Elmo a try and laughed at it the first time. It got really annoying after awhile. Then I packed it up in it's box and took it to Wal-Mart to see if we could return it...since we all know, Wal-Mart does return practically everything. And they gave me a $40 gift card. Awesome. So, we got Tyler a little V-Tech book for $10 and used the rest on what-ever we wanted to get. I think all 3 of us got something in the end. I just thought that this was a cool yet funny day.

Byron and Kathy's backyard

As you all know, Tyler loves going to the park. One day we decided to take Tyler to Cory's Aunt Kathy's backyard. She's a preschool teacher so she has all sorts of fun stuff for him to play on. We could've easily left Tyler to play there for hours and hours. He loved it. Here are a few pictures of his fun day.

IKEA

I love IKEA!!!

Poor Tyler, he's all tuckered out from a crazy day with us. At least he got to hang out with his new friend in the backseat the whole way home.

The load of stuff we hauled home. Again, it took a little huffing and puffing to get everything to fit.

The ketchup incident.

An IKEA has officially opened near Salt Lake City. My awesome sister-in-law Amy and I decided to take a little road trip the week after it opened. This was her first experience going to IKEA and my second. We were there for like 3 or 4 hours. Tyler was a good little boy. We thought it was going to be a bad day when we first ventured off. Within an hour of us leaving, Tyler threw up all over the back seat of Amy's car. It was really bad. We had to keep to windows rolled down for part of the trip. It was bad. We almost got stuck at IKEA with Amy's purchases. They almost didn't fit in the car. It took a lot of huffing and puffing to get them to fit. But, being the brilliant girls that we are, we figured out how to get everything to fit. It really wasn't a comfy ride home. But it was well worth the trip. Then, on the way home, we stopped at Wendy's for a little dinner...we got it to go since we were in a hurry to get home. Well, needless to say, Amy accidentally stuck her fingers in her ketchup cup and we had no napkins in the car and Tyler's diaper bag was buried under Amy's goodies.

I like frosting.

We were at Tyler's Grandma and Grandpa Miles' house before our McCall cabin vacation and we were making some goodies. Tyler got al little spoiled by his aunt Melissa when she gave him the chocolate frosting spoon to lick off. He loved it.

JAKERS.....The Adventures of Piggly Winks

We were at TJ-Maxx the other day and we spotted this adorable little plush cow. It reminded us of Tyler's favorite TV show, Jakers, the Adventure of Piggly Winks. Tyler knows what cows are and he "moo's" like a cow when he sees a cow or sees a picture of a cow. It's actually quite funny. He is fascinated by pretty much all animals. But, although he likes "Fernie," the cow, he really likes dogs.

Pictures from the park

We went to a new park the other week and they had some really cool toys for us to play on. Tyler was a little afraid at first, but of course, he loved them after awhile.

Like Father Like Son

I just found these pictures on Cory's phone. We were driving some where and Tyler found this mug on the back seat. Of course it's one of his favorite toys. He calls it "Waa Waa" when he wants a drink. When there is actually water in it he doesn't want it. He knows there is a yummy, bubbly drink in it.

Funny picture of Dad and Krista.

What a handsome family the Hobbs are.??!!!

Yesterday I was able to ride to Ontario with my parents and Grandma Hobbs to attend Ben's baby blessing. Cory stayed home to watch Tyler. I don't think Tyler would've handled the trip very well in one day. But, I was very glad that I was able to make it. We arrived at Brian and Krista's house and 10:00 am and church started at 11. Brian did a really good job on the blessing and Krista, Brian, and Madison all bore their testimonies. I cried. They all did wonderful jobs at expressing their love for Ben. I was grateful to be in the audience. I have to tell a funny story about Madison though. Madison was sitting by me during part of the sacrament meeting and she told me that she wanted to go up there and talk. I asked if she had every bore her testimony before and she said yes. I asked if she needed any help and she said firmly that she could do it herself. I again asked if she needed her dad's help, she again said, "Aunt Angie, I can do it myself." So after the speaker was talking I let her go up to the pulpit on her own. But, apparently she had never bore her testimony before and Brian had to run up after her. Later I found out the Madison told Brian that she didn't want his help either on bearing her testimony. She was so precious. All she said was she was grateful for her new baby brother Ben. It was so adorable. I had to tell that story. It was pretty funny. After the meeting we went to Brian and Krista's house and had a backyard picnic. It was delicious. (Krista....I'm still waiting for that awesome brownie recipe.) Then, we were off for a four hour drive home. All in all, it was a really good Sunday. The drive was worth being there for the blessing.

Beautiful McCall Idaho

Here I am taking my own picture because I was so bored in the back seat. The drive to McCall is so boring and long.

Tyler just as happy as he could be in his car seat. He's such a good little traveler.

David, Cory's cousin, rode with us and sat in front with Cory.

Grumpy Cory....just a driving and a driving.

We're here. This is our bedroom. It had a twin bed and a full size bed. We brought a pack and play for Tyler, but, he didn't sleep in it much. He got a little scared being in a new place at night.

Tyler, playing outside.

Tyler and his cousin Allie, just lounging around.

Tyler and his cousin Makayla playing with bubbles. They loved those bubbles and played with them for quite some time.

Cute Makayla!

Cutie pie Tyler.

A few weeks ago, like two weeks ago, we took a nice little trip to beautiful McCall, Idaho. It's a few hours away from Boise for those of you who don't know where it is. Anyways, we stayed at this nice cabin that Scot (Cory's dad) work lets employees stay at for free. We went last year and really enjoyed ourselves. Cory's whole family and their little families went as well. This cabin can hold a ton of people. We didn't do much, we watched movies, played games, and visited with one another. It was great just to be around family and not have to worry about anything. One night some of us went swimming at a hot springs. That was an interesting experience. The hot springs was in the middle of no mans land and it was pretty trashy. We smelt like sulfer after words. We now know not to go there next year. Some of us even jumped in the lake that the cabin was near. It was freezing cold. Like 40 degrees. We're crazy, I know. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and we can't wait to go again next year. On the way home we stopped in Ontario and stayed with Brian and Krista for the night. They have such a cute house. I love it. They have worked really hard putting in a vegetable garden and a flower garden. It looks really good. It was nice to see them and to see baby Ben.

Brian and Tyler horsing around.

What a handsome baby Benjamin is!!!

This is one good looking family.
