The fair.
This last week was the Fair. I worked at the Maternal Instincts booth six days out of the eight. All I can say is I'm glad it's over. It's been a very busy week for our family. I was gone for at least 10 hours a day and poor Cory had to handle Ty and school on top of that. He was able to take a small break and come to the Fair on Tuesday. We walked around before my shift. I was pretty faired out on by then though. But, we took Tyler to see the horses, cows, chickens, and pigs. He of course like the horses the best. He was fascinated by the cows tails, he laughed when the roosters cawed, and he hated the pigs. He got to eat ice cream and see me work in action. It was pretty fun. We also went to the photography building and saw all of Amy's work that she entered. She even entered a cute picture of Tyler. He got an honorable mention. That's better than nothing. Sorry that the pictures aren't that great. The camera died after taking two pictures. Thanks again to those handy camera phones that we use all of the time.
Cory and Ty petting the horses. Tyler loved the horses.
This is a cute shot of the two of them.
This is Tyler watching the pigs. He did not like the pigs. He's never seen one in person before so he was a bit reserved and hesitant around them.
He liked these goats. They would like his hands and he would giggle.
There was a petting zoo at the fair and they had animals out of their cages. Mostly goats. So the goats would walk right up to Tylers stroller or they would nudge him on the shoulder. He really liked that. He's such an animal lover.
A perfect shirt for Cory.
There is this website that Cory and I love. It's called woot.com. Well, there is a link from woot to shirt.woot. They have the funniest shirts. They are $10 a piece and have free shipping. This shirt came up one day and we had to get it. It's so Cory. I think it's funny. Everyone in the nursing program will want to have it.

A new shoe rack
Cory's free stuff....
Since I've been getting all these free clothes, I thought I'd post what Cory came home with the other day. HIm and his cousin David went dumpster diving at ISU because Cory knew they were getting rid of all this computer stuff. He got a ton of Cat 5 cable (whatever that is) and other weird wire things. I like the shelves he came home with. Hopefullly we can find some use for them. If anything, we can hang them in out storage area for extra storage space.

Great deals for TYler and Abby
So, last week there was a good sale at K-Mart. So of course, the first thing I do is call Melanie. I know how much she likes K-Mart. Then, I'm off to find Tyler's size. I picked out these two outfits for about $2 a piece. They will be for next summer. I thought it was a pretty good deal. We usually don't do characters, but Cory and I thought we could do Tigger for 2 dollars. What a deal.

That same day, we went to Ross...another favorite. I found these pants for 0.49 cents. I had to get them. I thought that was a great deal. There a size 14 in girls. They won't be fitting anyone anytime soon. Jenni thinks Abby may fit into them in a few years.....but, for 49 cents. That really is a good deal. I hope you like them Abby.

An interesting bumch of free clothes...
Here are more pictures of some of the clothes I got this week. Some are interesting. What I've learned from this experience is to never order online unless you are certain they will fit and you are certain the color isn't weird. It has been fun getting free clothes though.
This is my brown 'rap suit' or my velour jogging suit. I quite like it. It first really good and it's comfy. It will be nice to wear come winter.
This shirt goes perfectly with my rap suit. I wouldn't wear it on it's own thought. At least it brings color into the brown outfit.
I love this skirt. I think I got it in brown and sage too. It so comfy. I love it.
An interesting outfit to say the least. The pants are pepto bismal colored and courdoroy. The tank is way to short. Anyone want it? The pants would be cute with a better shirt.
This skirt is from La Redoute. It fits pretty good, except for one thing.....it's too short. I will give it to you though Krista. I think it should fit. And, it's not that red in real life.
Another one for Krista. I loved, loved this skirt. The pink part has tiny cream polka dots. IT's so dang cute. IT would go perfectly with a cute cream shirt. IT's too short though. I loved it.
Nice TALL shirt from Metrostyle. I can wear it to work with one of my many pairs of brown slacks.
If anyone wears this outfit out, I will give you 5 bucks. Hideous skirt.
This is a nursing shirt. I thought I'd get it to try it out for when I nurse again. It's weird. It has a layer of fabric under the front of the shirt with the 'nursing slits'. I just don't know what to think of it yet. I guess I'll just have to save it for later.
An interesting set of skirts. The first one is too short and has this massive slit on the side, it goes way up my leg. I don't think it will work for anyone. THe pink and white one is different. THe picture was much cuter than the real life skirt.
Cory's new tie from Kingsize. After ordering a few weird socks, here is a tie I got for Cory by stacking certificates. I think it's pretty nice.
My shorts and gouchos. THe denim shorts are too short and the brown gouchos are just a weird shade of brown.
