Sunny days

It's been really nice here in Pocatello lately. We've been taking advantage of the warm weather and have been taking outings to the park every few days. Tyler loves it. He really likes to slide down the slide...by himself. He just walks over the edge, flips over on his stomach and slides down. He does a pretty good job landing at the bottom of the slide too. I just can't believe how big and independent Tyler is getting. He's always going to be my little baby, but he's growing up way too fast for me. Again, sorry about the pictures. We didn't bring our real camera with us to the park this day, but, we had our phones with us. By the way, these pictures were taken when it was Tyler's first time going to a playground.

Tyler's first haircut....!!

I was finally able to let go of my fears and let Cory give Tyler his first hair cut. I think we did fairly well for our first time. Tyler didn't like it at all. He hated it actually. At first he didn't really know what was going on, but then, he started to tyr to move our hands away from his head and then he just started to scream. We tried to give him a sucker towards the end, but that really didn't help either. He really liked to hold it though. He wouldn't let us take it away. He even got to take a bath with it afterwards. Needless to say, Tyler was traumatized by the whole experience. Hopefully it will be awhile until we have to give him another haircut.

Here is how Tyler looked before. His hair was getting pretty long. He really needed a haircut.

Just sitting quietly.

The fun is starting.

The first hair cut from Ty's head. Which is now in a plastic baggie ready to be scrap-booked.

Uh-Oh...it's Dad's turn with the CLIPPERS!

Tyler is starting to get a bit fussy...!

He's really mad now!

Maybe a sucker will help.

And, maybe not.

It's over with...and Tyler is happy with Dad.

Time for clean-up....notice the sucker is in the tub with Ty. He would not let go of that thing.

Fresh as a daisy.

The back view.

Left side view. This side is not perfect, but we'll have to fix in a few days.....we need to let him recuperate from today's drama.

A better job on the right side.

Just a Preview of a Post to Come

OUCHY!

Tyler really hurt himself good today. Cory was heading out the door to go to class tonight and Tyler was trying to get outside and was under Cory's feet. Well, what happened was that Tyler was trying to get outside and tried to crawl off the step of the door to get outside and he ended up falling on his cheek. His upper lip was bleeding and everything. He was crying and screaming. I felt so bad. But once Tyler got in the tub for a warm bath he was back to his normal self. I feel bad that he has a few scratches on his face, but all I have to say is that he is one tough kid.

Our future NURSE!!

Cory has his first clinicals tomorrow so I thought that I would take a few pictures of him in his new scrubs. Doesn't he look so handsome? I think he does. I'm very proud of Cory for finishing school and for all the hard work he does in all of his classes and for working hard to support Tyler and me. He really is a wonderful husband and friend and I love him. Good job babe.

Oatmeal

Cory and Tyler were eating breakfast and Tyler was copying pretty much what Cory did. If Cory put his spoon in the oatmeal, Tyler would do the same. It was cute and funny to watch the two. Both Tyler and Cory love their oatmeal.

Daddy's shoes

Cory bought some new white shoes for the nursing program and Tyler really liked getting them out of the box and putting them on his feet. He was really funny because he tried to walk around in them and just kept falling all over the place. He's always trying to figure out how things work.

Tyler the snowman

Tyler was getting into all sorts of trouble one day. He loves to put on scarfs and he also likes to put hats on his head. He won't keep the hat on for long, but he tries to put it on himself. Anyway, He cam running into our bedroom all dressed up like a snowman again. I thought he looked pretty cute with his white onesie and his chubby legs.

Snowboarding

So, a few weeks ago....well, I mean months. Pebble Creek had a free snowboarding night, so Cory and I got all bundled up, got together all of our snow gear, dropped Tyler off at Cory's parents house, and off we went for a cheap date. It was awesome. We had a ton of fun. I know the pictures aren't the greatest, but what can you say about camera phones.
