Easter Morning

Happy Easter everyone. Ours started a little late...10:00 am. We slept in and talked and watched a show upstairs until every one was ready to go down. The kids were so excited about what the Easter Bunny brought them.

Tyler's stash.

The share pile.

Jason was most excited about his Thomas the Train bubbles.

So happy.

Trip to E.R.

Well...we didn't have to take Jason into the E.R. but we had to take Tyler instead. He had a severe asthma attack Saturday due to holding the bunnies and chicks on Sat. morning. Cory took him in about 12:30 a.m. He was wheezing and retracting pretty bad. We were worried. I am glad we did though. Cory said he stayed awake the whole time and was so fascinated by everything the Dr. did. He is still breathing harsh, and we now have a nebulizer at home to help. Tomorrow is another Dr.'s appt. to see if we have to go to the asthma specialist.

Miles Easter Egg hunt

Thanks to Amy for the pictures below!

We also had a fun time at the Miles for an Easter Egg hunt. The kids loved it. They got 20 eggs each, bubbles, and some bunnies in an egg (like a barrel of monkeys). We unfortunately had to leave this event early due to an accidental peanut incident with Jason. We were unsure if he was even exposed to peanuts, but he started throwing up and we found the culprit. It was a candy from the Palmer's variety pack. After a shot of Epi..we headed home. We talked to the doctor and decided not to take him in to the E.R. just because we caught it so fast and we knew exactly what it was. The doctor called an hour later to check on us and we were good. Jason and Cory stayed home the next day while Tyler and I did all the Easter events I had planned. Holidays are a worrisome time for us with all the candy that is available and a 2 year old who just eats whatever. Hopefully when he gets older it will be a little better.

I love this picture of Jason. He is such a cuddle monkey. It shows his personality in his eyes.

I also love this picture of Tyler. He looks soo happy. His smile just melts my heart.

Jason and Cory. Another favorite of mine. I love them.

Cute shot of Allie.

Kayla in a hurry.

They loved finding the eggs.

Hobbs Easter egg hunt

We had a fun Easter egg hunt at Mom and Dad's house. That is the one thing the kids were looking forward to all day long.

We had made these baskets earlier in the day. But, they kept dropping the eggs out of them. It was kind of funny.

Jenni and Tyler

While we were hanging out at Mom and Dad's, Jenni gave Tyler a speech therapy lesson. Tyler had a blast and is working on his lisp. I just need to be better at correcting his S's.

Environmental Fair

After the church activity, we went to the Environmental Fair. It was sooo cool. Tyler loved it. This was one of Tyler's favorite booths. The toys he is playing with were operated by mini solar panels. He had fun putting them in the shade and then in the sun and putting his hand over the panel. He loves science and is fascinated by how things work.

Another booth that we loved was the bike booth. All the kids got free helmets and were able to ride bikes on a path. He still has training wheels on his bike at home, so hopefully this summer we can teach him how to ride without them. He and Dad..or grandpa had fun though.

More robots.

Church Easter activity

After Home Depot, we headed over to Mom and Dad's ward activity. It was sooo fun. There were so many activities for the kids to do. Tyler loved the animals. He spent a lot of his time at the animal booth. Unfortunately he is very allergic to animals. We gave him benadryl and puffs from Jason's inhaler, but later that evening his breathing turned into wheezing and he had to be taken to the E.R. due to a severe asthma attack. Two days later he is still having troubles breathing, but has liquid steroids and a nebulizer that he needs to take 4 times a day. Dang bunnies.

He is so tender towards animals. He loves them.

Cute little bunny.

He likes to look at them right in their face.

This one is a chick. He really liked them too.

We were having so much fun.

Too Cute.

Home Depot workshops

The Saturday right before Easter, Home Depot was having a special Earth Day project. I told Mom and Dad and Jenni to bring the girls. It was awesome. I usually go to these on the first Saturday of every month, but this was a special one. The boys love doing the projects every month.

We're all ready to start.

Mom and Tyler after finishing the basket.

Dad and Abby

What a fun way to start the day.

Tyler

It has been awhile since I posted about Tyler. He is an awesome little boy. He makes me laugh pretty hard sometimes. Just the other day he came running into our room and said that he saw a monster...I asked him what kind of a monster. He paused and told me that he thought it was the Holy Ghost. We laughed about that and I had to explain to him that the Holy Ghost wasn't scary or a monster. He is just having a hard time understanding the ghost factor. HA!

Meeeee

I liked these pictures of myself. Call me vain. Lately I have been making a lot of headbands and have sold quite a few. About 10-12 so far. I have also discover felt. I love felt and am working on a quiet book for the boys as well as a Star Wars quiet book. I know I am nerdy. It is way cute though. I will post pictures when I get them done.

Cooking

As everyone knows, Cory really likes to cook. He is such a wonderful chef. Lately he has been trying to perfect a dish that is inspired by Olive Garden's Braised Beef and Tortellini..he has made his version and few weeks in a row now...I have been eating way too good. Also, Jason and Tyler just love to cook with him. It is cute the way that Cory teaches them how to cook. Jason now knows that anytime Dad is cooking he is welcome to get his stool and help out. He loves it.

Autism Awareness Day

We are way late posting these...but on April 1st and 2nd it was WAAD (World Autism Awareness Day). We all dressed in our blue shirts and blue jeans to support the cause. We even picked out a blue light bulb for the porch. We taught the kids about Autism and about their cousin Grant who has Autism. It was a great few days to learn more about Autism and to show our support.

Tyler...he is such a ham.

So is Jason. Can't I just get one normal picture?

I like Tyler's pose in this one. Ha ha!
