Birthday Party.

As mentioned in a previous post, we celebrated Tyler's 3rd birthday with the Miles family yesterday. His official birthday is on Sept. 20. We will celebrate that day with the Hobbs family. Tyler had so much fun. He was kind of anxious for part of the day and he kept sneaking into the living room to look at his presents. He also tried sneaking into his cake a couple of times. He really liked the bats. It was a reallyfun and busy day for all of us.

Tyler is really excited about his presents.

Awesome Incredible Hulk boxing gloves. They even make noises.

I found this cool Star Wars shirt at Target. I got Jason a matching Yoda shirt. Yes, I know, we are such nerds.

SUPERMAN, or SUP-MAN as Tyler calls him.

What a beautiful cake!!!

Cute pictures

Amy took these pictures awhile back. I keep talking about them to my parents. They are way cute. She printed them on canvas and gave them to Laurie for Mothers Day. They are currently hanging in Scot and Laurie's front room.

This one is pretty cool. I don't know exactly how Amy did these, but it almost looks like a watercolor painting up close. Again, it was printed on canvas.

Cute pictures of Allie and Kayla.

And, my favorite picture of Tyler. His smile is so darn adorable. Why won't he ever smile like this for me when I want to take a picture.

The way it is hung up on the wall. Very cute. And Amy has such a good talent for photography.

Birhtday cake again

Okay, here is the finished product. The spiderman webs didn't turn out as well as I would've liked. I only had the tube frosting that I had gotten from Cory's aunt. I didn't have the right sized tips, so I just used the huge opening on the tube. It worked okay, but I would've like to have a thinner web. Again, for my first try, I think I did a reallly good job. I'm pretty proud of myself for this. Tyler really liked it too. He kept asking if he could eat a bat. He finally got to, at his party.

Calvin Klein underwear

You are seeing that right. Our baby is dressed better than we are. And yes, that is a cute Calvin Klein onesie Jasers is wearing. They were an awesome deal though. 5 onseies for $3. What a deal. I just think they are so cute on Jason. And it is funny that they are Calvin Klein. We also bought Tyler some Calvin Klein underwear too. If he ever gets potty trained. Soon his day will come. Maybe the CK underwear will motivate him...wait, he's only 2. He won't care about Calvin Klein...unless, he is like his mother, in that case.....

Sunday, Sunday

Tyler looks very excited to go to church today.

Oh my gosh....Cute sailor outfit. I bought this way before I was even pregnant. It was a good deal and oh so cheap..like $4. I love it.

Jason looks so ecstatic to be in his sailor outfit.

Two cute boys.

Tyler's Brithday cake

Tyler's official birthday isn't until next Saturday, but we celebrated with the Miles Family today and then, we'll celebrate it with my parents next weekend. Anyways, for months I've been trying to decide how to decorate Tyler's cake and what theme to use. I was originally going ot go with Buzz Lightyear, then it was Kung Fu Panda, then Superman. What I finally decided on was a Superman, Batman, and Spiderman cake. I have never used fondant before and I wanted to try it out. It went really well. I think I am in love. I told Cory I didn't ever want to use frosting again. I actually made my own fondant using marshmallows. It was so easy to make too. I used the recipe off of this site. I was a little scared and nervous at first, but it came together really well. I made teh Hershey's chocolate cake for noth the round cake and the superman logo. Then, it was time for the fun part, covering it with fondant. The round cakes were pretty easy to cover. The superman logo gave me a hard time though. Lessons I learned......put the cakes on a piece of cardboard. I should've learned from watching so much Duff. My superman logo cake didn't get placed well on top of the round cakes, so I really should've covered it on top of a cardboard, then placed it on the cake. I reall yneed to practice rolling the fondant. I think I may have made the batman logos too thick. It was hard to tell for my first attempt though. All in all, I think I did a good job for my first try. It was rally fun too. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Why haven't I discover Wilton's gel dye before now......It really makes the colors pop.

This is the good side of the cake. The other side is kind of bad and messy.

The fondant in the fridge. Tyler opened up the fridge and thought it was cool. I think they look like balls of play dough.

Awsome S. That took me awhile to figure out. But, it looks awesome and is my favorite part of hte cake.

Holy good looking cake, BATMAN.

Nice looking bats.

Another view from above.

Krista, Maddie, and Ben's visit

Krista surprised me last week when I found out she was in town. She hitched a ride with her aunt to attend her grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. I was so excited when she called me. Cory and I met her at the Grecian Key.......you gotta love their gyros.....then, we headed off to my parents house for a little visit.

Tyler was excited to see his cousins Ben and Maddie. He started showing off and acting up in front of them. He really loves Ben.

Cute Ben just waiting for his french fries.

Maddison with the most beautiful bows I have ever seen.

Yes, I gave them to her.
Krista loves Grecian Key gyros. So do I.

Rocking out with Papa.

Ben likes to shake, shake, shake the maracas.

Grandma and little Jason.

Cory's office.

I took these pictures on Friday while waiting for Cory to finish up his work.

I was laughing so hard because Cory can hide in his chair. It's so big, nobody would ever know he was there.

I've said this before, but Coyr has a drinking problem. First I noticed his huge mug, then, whats that you see, a mini one hiding behind it. HA HA!!!

Tyler was helping Cory out by handing him all the stuff he printed out.

Then crawling all over his humongous chair.

Jason and his duck lips.

Tyler loves all the toys at Daddy's work. Cory and I are so lucky to both have jobs that if we had to, we can take our kids to work. Well, I take Jason every time I work, but, he's pretty easy to handle.
