I broke a board...

On the way home from work the other day I saw a sign that said, FREE BOARD BREAKING. So, I did a little u-turn and went into Southwick Karate Academy to break my board. They taught me a few basic moves and a short lesson, and ka-bam. I broke a board with my own fist. Here are some pictures to prove it. They gave me one month of free lessons for both Cory and I. We went once and really enjoyed it. Cory even got to break a board too. We are so strong. We decided not to join because of the cost and also trying to get a babysitter twice a week. It was fun while it lasted. Just call us the Ninja Miles Team. That's right, we are now professional ninja's.

Our little trouble maker...!

A few weeks ago I was in the kitchen doing dishes and Cory was upstairs studying. I thought the house sounded a little too quiet. So, I walked into the living room and I found Tyler with a pink highlighter marker have a great time drawing on the wall. Thank goodness I caught him while he was still in the middle of it. The marker came off very easily with a wet cloth. I do believe this is just the beginning of what's to come.

Jenni and Ted's

So, a few weeks ago I decided to go and visit Jenni and Ted. Cory was busy with school and work for a few days and I had a few days off, so, I packed Tyler up and drove to Jenni and Ted's house. It was a fun few days. I got to see their new house and visit and play with the girls. I also got the grand tour of Tooele. The girls were fun to be around. They both really like to play and watch the Backyardagains. Which is now one of Tyler's favorite TV shows as well. Tyler was excited to be around other kids. He loved watching the girls and doing what ever they were doing. At times though, I know they got kind of annoyed and Tyler. He tried to take away their toys and would want to join in on whatever they were doing. All in all though, it was a fun trip. I hope you enjoy the few pictures I took.

More Easter pics

I found some more Easter pictures of Tyler. These pictures were taken at G & G Hobbs house. They hid some Easter eggs for Tyler. He had such a fun time finding them. He learned how to open the plastic eggs with his mouth and m&m's spilled all over the place. He had such a fun time.

Ty's first drink without a sippy

We let Tyler have a few Oreo cookies a few weeks ago and Cory and I were dipping ours in milk. We decided to let Tyler have a sip of our milk and he actually drank out of it by himself. He didn't even spill. He's growing up so fast. I can't believe it.

Easter

Here is Tyler following a trail of plastic eggs the lead to his Easter basket. He's just happy with on egg.

Ohh , another egg.

Here is Tyler's basket full of all sorts of goodies. A magna doodle....that he loves and carries with him everywhere, toy bunnies, and bunny bubbles....and who can forget, eggs full of candy.

This is Tyler's first glance at the basket. He's smiling. It was so cute.

Tyler sorts through is goodies. Too bad we limited his candy intake due to being sick.

This past Easter wasn't the greatest for us. Tyler was sick and he didn't even wake up until 11:30 that day. Poor kid. A few days before Easter Tyler caught a cold and he really wouldn't go down to bed until like 2 or 3 in the morning. We would just let him sleep in because we needed the rest too. So, we actually didn't let Tyler see his Easter basket until like 1:00. Crazy. We then went to Mom and Dad's for a short visit and then to Cory's parents for Easter dinner. We pretty much sat on the couch and slept the whole night. The next day Cory wasn't feeling well and he almost passed out during clinicals on Tuesday. He slept all day Tuesday. That night I started getting sick and started throwing up. I was fine during the day yesterday, but today I couldn't get out of bed until 3:30 in the afternoon. I had some pretty bad vertigo and as I was laying in bed I felt as if I were on a merry-go-round. We're all starting to feel a little bit better tonight, but Tyler still has a pretty nasty cough. Hopefully we'll get feeling better soon. Maybe Tyler will finally get to eat some more of his Easter candy.

Tyler and his train toy box

Tyler really likes his train toy box that he got for his birthday. His favorite thing about the toy box is climbing inside of it and throwing all of his toys out of it. He also likes to climb on top of it and stand up on it. It's kind of scary for me when he does this. Just the other day he had climbed on top of it and was standing on the window ledge and trying to walk across the window ledge. We now put the toy box in the middle of the room when Tyler is playing in there. Here are a few pictures of Ty with his toy box.

The Easter Bunny

We were at Wal-mart the Friday before Easter and we ran into the Easter Bunny. I was so excited to let Tyler sit on his lap. Cory on the other hand, wasn't as excited as me. We were kind of in a hurry. They Wal-mart associate even took pictures of Tyler. We haven't picked them up yet. The best part about it was that they were free. Yeah. I couldn't resist taking pictures of my own on my phone. Tyler did not like the Easter bunny. At least he got some yummy jelly beans out of it though.

Tyler's Dancing Shoes

Angie brought home squeaky shoes, and Ty loved them! Sorry about the quality, though - we recorded the video on my cellphone.

Do you think my tractor's sexy....

Last week was the spring fair here in Pocatello. Maternal Instincts had a booth, and of course, I worked at it. Across from our booth was John Deere. He had a ton of tractors. At the end of the fair, we were all busy trying to take down the display, and I asked the John Deere guy if I can drive his tractor. And he said yes.....so, he let me drive it all the way from the bottom of the Holt Arena all the way up the ramps and into the parking lot. It was pretty exciting. I've never driven a tractor before, so I had a lot of fun.
