Last week Tyler had an ear-infectioni so the Dr. gave him amoxocillan(sorry about the spelling) and then he broke out into a rash on his stomach and back. The Dr. then changed his medicine tp something else, but the rash never went away. The Dr. thinks he may be allergic to penicillian. This week his rash got worse and so then we took him back to the Dr. yesterday. The good news is that Tyler doesn't have an ear infection anymore. The bad news is that now he's on prednosolne (sorry about he spelling again). He hates it. We have to make him take it. Poor guy. Here are a few pictures of his hives. He wouldn't hold still at all. But you can still see a little bit of them. He's doing much better today. The reddness has gone down. He still has a little rash, but it's not as bad as it was a few days ago.
I know about that prednisolone, the girls have to take it when they get really sick with pneumonia or something, supposed to be an oral steroid to get rid of inflamation, but it sure is nasty! You guys must be posting right now, cuz I just left a comment and up came a new post. You should be in bed, but then, I should be too..
ReplyDeletePoor guy. Hope he feels better soon. Have you tried an oatmeal bath for the hives? I don't think it gets rid of them, but it's supposed to help with itching. We gave Blake oatmeal baths with his eczema (sp?) a lot.
