A Few More Pictures
A couple of nights ago we were running out of clean baby clothes and decided to try out the pajamas Angie'd made, even though we thought they would be a bit too bit. Turns out "a bit too big" is a bit of an understatement. Nonetheless, we got a few pictures of him, both to show off the funny fit of the PJ's and to show off the cute kid.

Zappos.com
So, I found out about this really awesome website called Zappos.com and it's awesome. They have tons, I mean millions of shoes. Alright, some are really expensive and some are just plain ugly. But, there are some affordable shoes there as well. This is a good website for me because here in Pocatello we don't have a big variety of shops. It's a wonderful website, so check it out. Unfortunatly for me, I can spend hours browsing that website. I love shoes. I've already found three pairs that I love. I absolutely love that is. Oh, another cool thing about Zappos is that they have free shipping and if your shoe doesn't fit when you recieve it, it's free shipping to send it back as well. AWESOME!!

A Change of Pace
For this and other reasons, Angie doesn’t always enjoy being Tyler’s sole source of food:
As such, she didn’t put up too much of a fight when her doctor suggested we put Tyler on a formula diet for 24 hours to help clear up the last of his jaundice. That way, both she
and I
get to share the feeding responsibilities. Of course, I’m not sure I’ll be at my 8:00am class tomorrow, but at least I get to help out a bit more tonight.
By the way, we’re impressed that he’s able to hold the bottle on his own. Of course, it’s only for a few seconds at a time, but, hey, we’re allowed to think our kid’s the shiznit, right?!

As I was surfing for info on the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica TV series, I came across some random blog showing that particular blogger's results from the OK Cupid Politics Test, as shown below. What the heck, I figured, and I popped on over to try it out. I have to say, I'm quite surprised by the results, and my first inclination is to disagree, but I'm posting it anyway. I will say that I have to agree with Nick at Nick's Daily News in that the Bush of today isn't the Bush of four years ago and I'm much less inclined to support the current incarnation of our good President. Now, I know there's one person in particular who will jump all over the chance to comment on this, but so be it.

Tyler's One!
For those of you not keeping track, Tyler turned one today...one week old!
He had a pretty big day, with a visit to the doctor, a blood serum biliruben test (we had to take him to the lab at the hospital for a heel prick to draw some blood), and the hassle of a "bili blanket" to treat jaundice. He also had a tough time keeping his food down and we decided to torture him further with a quick spongebath so he didn't smell like spoiled milk, which just added to his stress level for the day. Poor tyke!
All-in-all, it's been a great week with the little guy, and I'm sad to have to go back to work tomorrow. Here's a few pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Tyler Scot Miles
I was really hoping to be the first to post on the birth of our first child, but I guess that’s not very realistic, considering that I only left the hospital once to shower and change and I didn’t have computer/internet access there. In any case, it is with great pleasure that I officially announce the birth of Tyler Scot Miles. Tyler was born September 20, 2005, at 2:54pm. He weighed in at 7 lb. 10 oz. and was 21 in. long. By the time we left Thursday morning, he had dropped to 7 lb. 2 oz.

I came across this site quite a while ago, but never tried using it until a couple of days ago. Now, for the individual involved in that first test, it really wasn't much of a success, since I screwed up and used a non-standard .zip encoding. For those of you who are less-than-fluent in geekspeak, YouSendIt worked fine, but what I sent was bad.
In any case, what YouSendIt does is allow you to send a file to someone that's bigger than your email file attachment limit (usually 10MB) without having to install any special file-sharing software whatsoever. With YouSendIt, you simply select a file (up to 1GB) on your hard drive and enter the email address(es) of the individual(s) you want the file sent to. If you need to send more than one file, just zip it up using your favorite archive utility and send the .zip file. Once you've sent the file, you're also provided with the download link, so you could send it to other people without having to upload the file again.

BABY POLL!!!
So, I thought Travis and Melanie's post on Grant and Blake's favortie food was fun, so I decided to finally post on something different and to make a game of it. We're making a bet on when everyone thinks the baby will be born and how much he'll weigh. If you want to guess, go a ahead and comment on the date he'll be born and how much he'll weigh. We haven't figured out a prize yet, but believe me, it will be worth your while (dirty diapers may be involved).
